Man, I paid £300 for the 32" version. but they put the 40" version in may car!
Mrs says gotta tell them, and have it replaced (kids bedroom).
I'm (like the kids) not too pleased, with swapping for what I paid.
Anyone know the consumer rights/ shop rights, if the shop put the 40" TV in my car, as an honest mistake??? We all know what happens if the consumer makes a mistake!!!

Don't know the legalities but I would call the store and explain the situation and that the tv has been opened and used as you didn't realise straight away. As it was there mistake say you expect the 40 to be collected and swapped for the 32. There is a good chance that the cost of this coupled with the fact that they can't resell the 40 as new that they will let you keep the 40 with clear consience and no grief from the wife.

If only, clear conscience, grief with wife. They are happy to swap out, not let me keep it :(
I was hoping, and willing to pay a few extra £££s to upgrade, but they wanted the full price difference.
They are happy to give me a free 5 year warranty. I could have had that from John Lewis.
The wife is happy, I'm waiting for them to call to arrange to swap it. They seemed more interested in whether I still had the box, which I'm tempted to dump, as its a fire hazzard in the garage!
Great TV the 40". I'm sure the 32" will be just as good, but smaller.
