What Hi-Fi? TV Product of the Year 2010

Amazon Warehouse Deals - £797.40
Play.com - £797.49
Comet - £699.99
PC World - £699.99
Dixons £599.99

Great TV with built in Freeview HD and Bravia Internet. Dont forget quidco will be about £12 and lots of clubcard points to be had!

I just put a post on facebook and soon found somebody throwing out an old CRT! According to Tesco the TV just has to be 'visibly intact'.

Save a further £100 when you trade in your old TV - add '£100 Sony TV Trade In' to basket from the Services section of the Related Items tab below (only available via Home Delivery)

Isnt this better, 42 inch and its led backlit meaning thinner and clearer for £100 more?

Yeah looks to be a good deal too, suppose it depends on your budget and some say sound isnt always as good on LED TV's.

how much is delivery by the way?
#12
Well I assume if I cancel a day or 2 before delivery then no problem, and they have 28 days free collection and returns too, from what I can see.
#13
did they charge you for delivery by the way?

Hope you got the 503 and not the 403, my link was wrong before!

£5 for delivery, just ordered myself. Cracking deal for a recent TV, was looking at a similar one from Makro made by Samsung, but this blows it out the water for £30 more.

Is it as good as a pioneer kuro? No.
Therefore freezing.
#24
Been holding out for sometime for this. Excellent deal but as mentioned, some guarantee would be nice.
Would JL match this?

I guess it's a sign of my age when I remember buying the Sony Trinitron TV's.

I think I still have a 20" Super Triniton CRT PC monitor in the attic. Fantastic picture.
#28
o how do they go about this TV trade? do they pick it up when they deliver the new tv ?
#29
John Lewis should price miss. They always good for that. Very decent 5 year guarantee. I got the 403 last year from comet for 350 after matching tesco and trade offer. Excellent TV. Didn't go for 503 as reviews tended to slate the 100hz technology that Sony use.

Only £1600 for a new one, if you can find it. Why not pay the extra grand and get a great tv?

Probably, but I doubt this will be in stock in the morning.
#32

#33

The kuro's are still the best. Just a shame that Pioneer don't make TV's anymore.

However for the price this deal is fantastic.

VERY HOT
and top marks for the great find thanks so much:D
#36
Thanks OP - just ordered one for my mum. Was waiting for the Samsung c650 to come down in price, but this is a good substitute.
#37
what features does the kuro have apart from an amazing picture quality? DNLA , internet etc?
#38
Very good price! HOT
#39
Can you trade in literally any old TV? Like would a tired old 1990s CRT be acceptable?
#40
Already have the Sony 37W5500, had the bottom part not been silver I reckon I could have got away with buying this and flogging my current one without the missus noticing. Picture quality much better on this? Already have the 100hz and Bravia engine 3 and can get iplayer etc. via my PS3.

Not sure how much i'd get for the 37" er anyway.
