The W series was only £449 in M&S last week.
£549 without 100hz aint really a great deal but it is in terms or price of their competitors.

Got one of these for a great price at Very a couple of weeks ago.

Does anybody else have one of these and experienced the screen going black for a couple of seconds whilst watching a DVD or gaming through HDMI? Keeps happening on mine and it's getting bloody annoying but can't think what could be causing it.

I had a similar thing on my Samsung set. Turned out my daughter had been pressing the buttons on the front and had held down the menu button for a few seconds putting it into 'Shop Mode'. doing this again turned it off and stopped the black screen irritation :)
Dunno if its related to your issue but may be worth a google.

It's not this as it only happens when I'm playing the xbox through HDMI. Never happens when watching virgin box through a scart lead.

I did google it and I've read of many people having the same problem with their Bravia LCDs but nobody seems to have a solution.

there are no 40 inch led displays on sale - the biggest is around 13 inches and costs about 1000 per inch.
