I was in a Sony Centre last weekend and I saw a demo of the 200hz vs the 100hz and it was impressive, if i had the money i'd upgrade!

New Samsung 40" 200hz has a power consumption of only 80W in operation.

Probably the new UE40B8000 series 8 200hz LED TV. Also I have to say an amazingly slim TV at a fraction under 30mm thick, very stylish indeed.

Personally speaking though if you want an amazing 200hz picture I suggest you look at the Sony 40Z5500 LCD or maybe the Philips 42PFL9664, mind you dont expect to be paying less than £1200, probably more for the Philips.

Also not sure why this post is running so cold because this an excellent TV and is actually quite a good price at £969, the 40Z4500 usually retails £1000 to around £1250. £969 may not be the sale of the century granted but if you think you can find it cheaper then good luck. I get the feeling a few HUKD members dont expect to pay more than £500 or £600 these days for an LCD panel and therefore automatically give it the thumbs down, the fact is you are simply not going to get a 200hz TV for a few hundred quid. You are getting what you pay for here guys...a top end panel and its a good price so hot from me.

not a bad price. cost me £960 with a free stand and 3 year guarantee about 2 months ago, but cant remember off hand from where. fantastic tv, but I did'nt bother posting , coz you know it will get cold votes!! because people can buy a 40 inch tv for less, and then say your only paying for the badge, although at times its like a comparison between a bmw and skoda.
also a much better sound than the z5500.
sony do take the p**s though, I wanted a black speaker cover to replace the silver one included with the tv, and they want £150, for a piece of plastic. I can buy a sony bluray player for that money which contains more plastic than the speaker grill and all the electronics, come on sony they should be included in the box for free.

I would be interested to know which retailer you got your Z4500 from, thats a cracking price with a 3 year warranty.

Sabreliner I got it from Digitech Electronics, I just checked the site and its gone up to £1065 for the package I got,
or £1023 for the tv and 3 year guarantee, got mine on the 08 August, maybe worth a look at the end of the month they might lower the price again.

swancut – how were Digitech Electronics with delivery etc? Would you recommend them?

Thanks for that, even at £1023 with a three year warranty its a very respectable deal.

I would recommend them, they phoned me up to check my details and to give me the delivery date and tracking number. Delivery took about 4 days but I chose the free delivery option, but you can always pay extra and get next day.
