SONY KDL46HX853 3D smart TV 5 y warranty + SONYBDPS490 Multiregion dvd not sure about blu-ray whether multiregion (blu-ray+DVD player) + 2 free 3D rechargable glasses SONY TDGBR250 + extra glasses at £25 each price match deal + 22 blu-ray BOND 50 collection + The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-ray 3D PLUS Spider-Man Trilogy Blu-ray via redemption from Sony

Decided to buy this deal from richersounds after getting a price match to RGB direct http://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/Products/Television/3D-LED-TV/SONY/KDL46HX853BU this link on the 26th dec 2012 showed the deal as above but their shop is in london but managed to get richersounds in leeds to price match in store. RGB direct are now charging for the glasses but earlier they were giving 2 3D glasses free hence my price match at richersounds included the glasses. Deals are changing daily on this telly, so check daily online via google and then price match or just haggle like i did and get them to get the deal i got.

Plus needed extra 3D glasses but was 70£ at richersounds and got them to price match amazon at £25 per 3D glasses with free delivery to home for the glasses as they didnt have it in store on the 26th and 29th. Collected it in store on the 29th as they didnt have it in store on the 26th.

Prices on various websites changing daily for this set but if you look around you will find some website with similar deal and get richersounds to price match. They agreed to price match in store in leeds even though the rgb store was in london and richersounds website says price match only within 50miles.

If you cant find another deal to price match then you can get the same price without 2 free glasses by registering for vip emails from richersounds and they will send emails with the deal for the TV+blu-ray player for 1099£ which is 50£ lesser than their website and in store deals.

BOND 50 22 disk blu-ray collection is lowest priced at about £88 http://www.bluraycollections.co.uk/search/fetchPrices.php?id=mfno1113799

The amazing spiderman 3D is cheapest at about £18 http://www.bluraycollections.co.uk/search/fetchPrices.php?id=mfno1117829

spiderman trilogy blu-ray box set is about £9 http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/spider-man-trilogy/10596574.html?utm_source=googleprod&utm_medium=gp&utm_campaign=gp_dvd&affil=thggps

another review http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/sony-kdl46hx853-201211122344.htm "the KDL-46HX853 completes a trilogy of class-leading HX8 models, cementing the Bravia HX853′s reputation as the go-to LED TV lineup for the year 2012. Following Panasonic’s decision not to release any 46-inch Viera plasmas this year, it’s left to Samsung and Sony to battle it out in this size class. Although the Korean manufacturer’s offerings hold the edge in standard-definition handling and calibration friendliness, ultimately we felt that the Sony – as a whole package – is just that bit more appealing when you take into account its tamper-free high-def presentation, relatively good sound quality (from the integrated speaker stand), and affordable price point."

Nice deal if you want this TV. 3D blu-ray player and the Blu-ray offers are a bonus.

I was originally planning on getting either an 8000 series samsung or 960V series LG 3D TV but am happy with my purchase as the TV is great and sound is great and saving about 500-600 compared to an equivalent LG or samsung was a bonus.

i did look at the sony outlet refurb deal but felt this was better hence bought this as this has 5y warranty unlike 1y on that deal plus all the extras which i wanted as well.

Brilliant Price, I was looking at this Tv but at the time it only had a 1 Year warranty and none of the Extras.
I Brought a Panasonic 50GT50 with 6 Years warranty instead, I may have gone for this if I was still looking.

    Heat added :)

How does this compare to the samsung ES8000?
    bman
Hispek have had this deal for a while.
^ check out some reviews of both. I'd say the Sony edges it AND it's cheaper.

This has Gorilla glass too. How cool is that lol
This is arguably the best LED TV on the market*

    *(several plasmas are better)

How does this compare to the samsung ES8000?

i wanted to buy the samsung es8000 or the LG LM960V but instead bought this. I felt the ES8000 had too much flicker on 3d for my eyes although my wife didnt notice it plus it was almost 1000£ more expensive, felt the LG was better than the samsung although almost the same cost.

wasnt that particular about the smart apps but was more interested in the 3d as use the apps more on my tablets and phone instead. i felt the passive 3d on the LG was better than the samsung active one. the 2d on the sony is great which is what i think most will watch on tv anyway even if it is a 3d TV hence my preference for the sony as the 2d is good as is the sound (obviously not in comparison to a home theatre or separates system but great for a TV).

The advantage with the LG is the passive 3D on the LG allows dual play gaming but the active 3D like with the sony and samsung dont allow full screen dual play gaming and those show split screen gaming instead for two players. Hence why i opted to save the hundreds of pounds (which i would have spent if buying a LG or samsung top of the line model) and bought this top of the line model sony and also bought a LG 23" 3D TV which has dual play gaming and still spent less than i would if buying the top of the line samsung or LG.

Check out the various models that you are interested in in a shop along with your family and then decide. My wife didnt notice the flicker on 3D on the samsung but I did. Neither of us felt any flicker on the LG (which doesnt have flicker as passive 3D anyway).

but samsung does have allshare etc if you have samsung phones then you might want those but the price diff of hundreds of pounds was too much for me to ignore

i was looking at the cheaper plasmas too but they seem to have more glare and dont have the smart features.

also the hispek deals didnt come with 2 free 3d spectacles http://www.hispek.com/sony/3d-televisions/sony-kdl46hx853-46-full-hd-3d-led-television-with-free-bond-50-bluray-movies-freeview-hd-plus-free-blu-ray-player-free-5-year-in-store-warranty-pd-12405.php

artefacts were more on the samsung es8000 series for my eyes compared to the LG960v or sony. am watching action movies and sports on sky and also action movies on blu-ray and dont see any motion blur on the sony yet. but best to compare your self in shops to see if your eyes see any artefacts on the various brands.

its a great tv for 2d viewing and sound is excellent for a tv. I have a home theatre hooked up but dont switch it on as the tv sound is good for general use. Dlna is useful for wirelessly seeing photos from my wifi camera and android phone and tablet using sony apps on my androud devices.

I can also control my samsung wb850f camera connected to the tv via usb via the tv remote.

Like the 26 blu-rays that came with the deal. Havent used the otger smart features though as bought the tv because it had newer panel with good reviews. Have watched a bit of 3d. Pleased with the buy and no regrets.
