LOL the price REALLY should be the title :)

Does this set have built in Freeview HD as on trial from Crystal palace. H264 I think.
At this price it should. It says HD ready. and normal freeview is SD.
#3
If the freeview hd box they use has component or hdmi output I don't see why not, did not realise it was crystal palace but would explain why north london post codes i tried to get onto the trial failed if the weak dvb broadcast is based in south london

Good price for a 1080p TV.

Good article and site explaining 1080p and HDTV standards, please bear in mind lots of products advertising 1080p compatability don't always work, I would hope firmware updates will solve most of these problems.

I've no doubt it will do 1080i NATIVELY though as that is now very commonly used (inc. Sky HD)

I've seen it in action, it does 1080p and this is a really good price for this TV. they also have a 56" version
#9
Now even cheaper....£2518

The X series is Sony's top of the range, so explains the higher price. Although the original post is higher than other online stores.

Welcome to HotUKDeals nads, removed the referral info in your post [probably from a search engine?] Thanks :)

Guys,
this is the first of Sonys new range of TVs, its designed specifically for the blu ray tv and not HD compatible TVs, thats why its so expensive because it has a better resolution than HD. This is a TV with REAL quality and when playstation 3s hit the UK market this choice of TV would become more popular - at the end of the day if you are going to pay 400 pounds for a new game console then you might as well upgrade to the supportive TV.
