Yeah, I find it frustrating when people vote something cold with no explanation.
Are they just lazy or deliberately trying to put down a good deal?

Price looks pretty good to me and it's meant to be a decent set - hot from me.
#2
Definitely HOT...
I just wish my lounge was big enough to have this.
#3
This is a massive bargain!! In more ways than one!

Good post OP!!
#4
Definitely HOT but my room is too small ;)
#5
this is a 52" LCD screen

LCD is not really any good over 40" - you would be better getting a plasma for this sized screen. it isnt really ready for this size
#6
great deal - would get this if i hadnt just bought a 46" Samsung - voted HOT :)

Why cold - please post an alternative cheaper deal if you have one.

voted cold as you said it was just over a grand... this is £124.99 over a grand!!! thats not "just over"!
#8
This is rubbish, its last years model!
#9
Might have been superceded by a newer model, and it might not be brilliant as a 52", but by 'eck it's a SUPER deal for the price.
W series is almost the top end and even last year's model is still great

HOT offer

That may be true for this model but not for the Bravia X series.

The 3000/3500 are phenomenol but i can't wait for the X4500 featuring triluminous technology RGB-LED to come out.

That will poo all over the plasmas out at the time.

Those who bought this at the higher price... might be voting cold:whistling: Rep added.
#13
why are posters so concerned if a deal is voted hot or cold? I think i've only ever posted one deal and couldnt give a monkeys how it was voted - its not like I'd hear from *every* person that went our and took advantage of the deal......

I dont bother voting either...i just buy the product if its a good deal - i'd prefer the addition of a 'thankyou' type button like on Money saving expert forums.....

The new sony 4000 tv's proves otherwise.

Only the pricier poineer kuros beats it in this months supertest.

Who cares if it was last years model. For the size and the deal and it is a great price!!!!! Voted hot - good post!

Some utter rubbish posted by people on here. LCDS no good over 40 inch ? True 3 years ago not now. This is an utterly fantastic set which I happen to own myself. I paid 1800 at Xmas time which was a good deal itself at the time - this deal is utterly smoking (and have voted it so.) I also know someone that has jacked in their 2 year old plasma because of screen burn to buy a sony lcd (albeit X series.) Plasma and lcds both have their good points and bad points. Anyone that slates either regardless is talking out of their a*se ! I highly recommend this set - esp. at this price.

I bet dollars to doughnuts whoever buys it will get a phone call days before its due to be delivered to tell them they have "lost" it in the warehouse and can they pick another one please. Thats what this store did to me when i bought a 50 inch one!

ive had a 42" LG plasma now for over 4 years
and not one bit of screen burn
and sometimes fall asleep down stairs with a static image from one of the sky channels on for hours and never been a problem.

I'd rather have decent picture quality thanks. Lcd picture quality is unacceptable at over 40".
If you actually had a plasma ( a decent one -panasonic or pioneer ) then you'd know that screen burn is really not an issue, unless your playing video games 24hrs a day, and If so then screen burn is the least of your worries........

The person I know that had a 2 year old top of the range pioneer plasma clearly thought it was an issue because that was one of the reasons he replaced it with a sony lcd (and he doesn't play games.) And saying lcd picture over 40 inch is unacceptable is total and utter lunacy. To turn round what you said if you actually had a large lcd ( a decent one) then you'd know that was complete tosh.

Strange must have been a faulty plasma then, and please go and demo a 50" plasma next to a 52" lcd and I can guarantee the plasma will look better on all sources apart from still images...........:whistling:

I have. I preferred the lcd. But I wouldn't be silly enough to make sweeping statements like plasmas are no good over 40 inch !

Neither would I.
Oh well if you would prefer the picture quality of a 52" lcd over a 50" plasma, then I suppose it's your cash, just trying to offer you a heads up thats all.
