I bought a pair of these about 2 weeks ago but didnt list them as I thought it was just their normal price lol

Excellent headphones for the money.

Yea these are great head phones would def give these a 9/10

Ordered another pair as spare - These are fantastic little headphones. I've tried Skull Candy and the Sennheiser ones, even other Sony headphones around the same price. None have come close to the sound from these and the built quality. I'd pay £30 for these no problem.

If you buy a pair of these and find that the rubber caps keep falling off, then I recommend that you don't accidentally put a dob of superglue onto the speaker, as it reduces the dynamic range. :whistling:

Mine arrived today, ElBuc on the Seinhesser thread said to cancel these but it was too late as they shipped. Anyway i like these, good sound insulation and nice and bassey.

Which are better? these or the sennheisers?
#11
more importantly, which are louder? sennheisers seem to smack sony in that dept, important if you have a weedy UK model nwz-a829 as I do

How are these on the tube or a train? The ultimate test required for a headphone before I decide to splash out lol

I bought them specifically because I am having to get the train to work at the moment (London South Eastern into London Bridge) and then use the Tube fairly regularly to travel to client premises.

They do not silence the outside world, but they do make it unnoticeable unless it needs to be noticeable, but I have no complaints with them for use in that environment.

I just got these delivered this morning

Excellent sound quality
Connector is slim so fits perfectly into my iphone 2g
Cable is good quality and flat as opposed to the usual thin wire that tangles up

Previously using Goldring GX200 and Sennheiser CX300 - both are very good but I think these have a deeper sound for those who like their music. I didn't expect anything less from Sony.

I haven't tried the MDR-EX35 but I can recommend MDR-XB20EX for £8 more.

is the cable the same length for each ear? or is the left ear shorter?

Best thing Ive found with these earphones is that they can go through the washing machine and still work with no issues lol

Yep I left mine in my shirt pocket and they went through a 40c wash and an extra spin for the conditioner, I left them for 24 hours and then they worked just as well as before.

lmao well i wont be making that mistake but its nice to know that they are open to a fair bit of accidental abuse without one dying on me.
