Very good quality earphones now reduced from £60+ instore to just £10.
Bought 3 pairs in Newton Aycliffe Tesco Extra, left one pair on the shelf.
Going by the amount of recent headphone posts lately, I would guess this could be more than store specific.
Still £49 online.

Confirmed. Tesco Gatwick was still priced them at £65 but scan at the till for £10. They had 2 pairs on display which I snapped up.

Good find!

It's hard to find any in ear headphones that will last over 6 months :x
I have resorted to AKG over ear headphones which are amazing if you dont mind looking a bit of a birk :whistling:

When you say they don't last over 6 months - they are presumably covered by a warranty; if its not accidental damage (cable pulled out etc) you should be able to send them off to Sony for replacement...
#14
Very good deal! Grabbed the two that were in the Banbury store!

There were a selection of Sony (and Sennheiser) headphones marked down in the Prescot Extra this morning - not sure if it included these ones as wasn't looking that closely I'm afraid.

Update: Checked with a colleague and it was the Sony MDR-EX76LP at £5 and the Sennheiser PX100 at £10 at Tesco Extra Prescot this morning

Yeah Sony earphones are pretty poor for reliability.

Plenty of info on these over at head-fi, here is some comparisons with the Klipsch S4/Shure 110/Metro-fi 220:

Not how I've found them. Had umpteen pairs of Sennheisser buds over the years and they've all fallen apart within months. These have lasted 11 months so far and while a bit worn and aesthetically broken they still work/sound fine. Doesn't mean anything though I guess, everyone will have a different experience. At £10 these would be great even if they only lasted the warranty period.

I've had my Sennheiser CX300 for a few years now and they're fine but I've been through two sets of ex-82 earphone with the same problem with the cable, but when it happened the second time my It was just the extension bit so the cable so I changed it.

It is of course down to the individual models as well but I've read many reviews of other Sony earphones having similar problems with the cable.

The sound more than makes up for this though. I've gone for a set of Sony EX-500 a few months ago, just going to take extra care of these.

These are a steal for £10!
