They are good, just been round for a few years now. Very solid - an absolute bargain at this price.

A True BARGAIN - Well Done!

i bought a set of these a few months ago in the states for $50 - about £25 at the time.

Not bad at all - although they are not too comfortbable for me - they 'nip' the top of my ears and I'm far from being a 'wing-nut'. The noise cancellation is pretty good.

I'd say very good value for money (before the audio-philes step in with frequency response states ect)

Far from bose performance - but very far from bose price.

H&R:thumbsup:

These are NOT noise-cancelling headphones, they are noise-reduction.

The noise-reduction ones retail for about £50, so this is a very good deal, especially if it's Sony. Heat and rep added.

The noice-cancelling ones are normally around £150.

Are you sure. Surely Sony know what they are selling: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/hed-travel/mdr-nc6

"Noise cancelling heedphones that reduce ambient noise, and provide a quieter environment to enhance the audio entertainment
Approximately 10 dB outer noise is cancelled when noise cancelling circuit is powered "

Noise reduction is just done with foam. These have a noise cancelling circuit.

Can anyone who owns or knows about this specific model tell me if these headphones have an in-line volume control, please? Sorry to be picky but I am thinking of getting some for my mum and they will not be suitable if they do not have an in-line volume control.

Cheers

It says on the Sony site referred to above that there is no volume control. Neodymium magnets though, which may be of interest to your mum.

good question. I al;so got the Altec ones but they are still boxed, should I go for these Sony ones instead?
#33
Wow, impressive price. I've had a pair of these for the past 3 years (bought in a vending machine at an American airport for $70 no less) and I can confirm they are a very good set of headphones. No idea how they are managing this price!
#34
Went for these, will they be better than the ipod cordless ones mentioned last week?
#35
Good deal, planning to get one. How long does it take to be delivered?
#36
Can you pay via PayPal on Play.com? I'd ideally like to pay via PayPal, although I'm not sure if Play.com accept it.
#37
I used these recently on a long haul flight and was very pleased with them. £18 is a very good price. There are better ones but I doubt you'd find much better for under £50. Heat added.
#38
Good deal. Odered one. But how long time it will be take during new year holidays?:?
#39
Play.com don't accept PayPal. No problem for mr. Mastercard though :)

Heat and rep added.
#40
Does anyone know how long the wire is?
