ahhh shame its only on the white ones - i very nearly bought these when i got my v-modas, perform well in reviews - one here http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/sony-mdr-ex85lp-stereo-headphones/

Shame about the dangerous colour, but fantastic price.

You may want to consider the 'germanium mod' which is meant to vastly improve sound quality. Though it scarily involves cling-film :)
#5
Great price!
#6

#7

Having white strings hanging from your ears is a sign to muggers that you have an iPod of some sort.
#13
Cant you just a Permanant Marker in Black and just colour the white parts?
#14
Was it really worth separate posts for the different models?
#15

Oooh I see. Never thought of that before.

Guys buy the new Sony Active Speakers as they are louder and you will not need noise cancelling headphones. I have the one that looks like an Ear! Here they are: http://www.play.com/Search.aspx?searchtype=ELEC&searchstring=Sony+active+headphones&page=search&pa=search&go.x=0&go.y=0

Wonder if these are any better than the Sennheiser CX300's which I cherish so much.

i don't think they are, i've had both and apart from the high end of the Shure models, theres not much that can compete with the CX300 inear earpones

headphones different matter

I would say these will beat any sub £30 headphones on the market, so that should answer you question.

if these are genuine sony not replicas which they should be with it being play they are a bargain as nowhere is even close to this price.
#27
Great price for some top buds.

Hot hot!

Shame the black ones are £20 more!

Yeah but those earphones don't have the same frequency range - they are only 10-23000...
Not that you'll notice the difference though! :p

Not true. You need to understand the difference. The Active Speakers have to go louder to drown out external noise - which means more distortion and higher sound pressure levels (so more damaging to your ears). They're only called Active because they're clamped to your head so won't fall off when during physical activity.

Noise cancelling headphones, and in-ear earpieces, actually block out external sounds so you can have the music on at much lower power levels and still hear it perfectly. Better for your ears, and better for music detail and quality. And better for people nearby too, as the sound leakage is much lower.
