I bought one from eBay a few months ago for £77.

Absolute bargain. Very easy to use, Yes you can stream music to it wirelessly from a bluetooth phone/media device as well as it handling your calls for you.

The incoming sound is very clear, obviously played back over your car speakers. A nice touch is that it remembers the volume setting you choose for calls and music separately, so you don't have to fiddle about when a call comes in.

There's a microphone within the front panel to pick up your voice and I've had mixed feedback. No worse than a cheap bluetooth headset but gets worse at speed - wind/road noise can drown you out.

It also plays MP3 CDs.

It's available in Tesco for £78.99 if Curry's run out of stock.

TWO SLIGHT DRAWBACKS:

1) The bright blue illumination can't be dimmed or turned off while the radio is in use - I don't know what your car interiors are like but it certainly clashes with mine! I'm slowly getting used to it.

2) I've had a couple of goes at connecting my iPod to it via the AUX IN front connection. The iPod and cable are fine but I haven't managed to get it working yet. I'll admit I've not sat down with the instructions and I may be missing something, or it may just be a faulty AUX IN port on my unit. I'll have another go if can be bothered and let you know!

This is an absolute bargain, it is a brilliant stereo an absolute bargain. The bluetooth is brilliant on it, even better than the factory fitted one i have on my other car, well worth getting and connects straight to the ISO plugs on most modern cars. Very easy to fit.

I was looking to get one of these awhile back when they were around £130 (Nov I think?), I'm glad I held back!

Should go great with my W960i! I can finally swap my JVC headunit with this one now :)

Voted HOT. Thanks.

So how do you install one of these? :)

So how do you install one of these? :)

They are pretty easy, removing the existing head unit is usually the problem I find. Depending on what head unit you encounter, each have different types of 'key' to remove them from their mounts. These can usually be by-passed by using thin bits of metal or a screwdriver, or see if you can borrow one from a dealership. Once it's removed you just put the mount/bracket in, plug the wires/leads into the back of the unit (you may need an converter depending on what car you have), fire up your car to test it and slide the head unit into the bracket and then (hopefully) job done

Does it have EXT IN mode at all? My current one (JVC) has AUX IN and EXT IN, so dunno if they are both reworded differently? Also my one has volume adjustment for AUX IN too in the settings, maybe set to zero? Just having a guess here!

I have just fitted one of these and agree that it is a very good quality piece of kit. However, there are a few things that need clarifying:

1/You CAN stream music from a compatible bluetooth mobile, but it must have A2DP bluetooth, which many bluetooth phones (including my SE W810i) do not.
This is very frustrating and had I been aware of it before fitting, I may have chosen a different model.

2/ You can receive calls on the unit, but you cannot dial out, with the exception of returning a call to the last received number. This is also very frustrating if you need to call someone, as the only option is to use the handset, somewhat defeating the object of a hands-free kit!

On reflection and mainly due to the music-streaming non-functionality, I would seriously consider a Parrot Rhythm & Blue radio, as it has a built in telephone keypad which is more useful when making calls.

Taking account of the aforementioned negatives, the price is very good, so I have voted hot.

When you say you cannot dial out, do you mean just via the radio? i.e. if I were to enter a number into my phone and press dial would the radio switch to hands free?

It's too bright or just the colour isn't right :? I've got quite an old model now nothing wrong with it cost me £125 from Halfords, but it IS too bright. I have to flip the fascia down at night else I can't see the road, still plays my music in this mode thankfully  just wish they had put a dim feature on it.

Yes, if you dial the number on the phone it then switches to hands-free.

Just ordered the Sony CDX-GT310 + XA-110IP WMA / MP3 CD Tuner with Front Aux In and iPod Lead using the coupon as well - I just felt there would be more chance of using the iPod lead than BT overall :)

Cheers :D

I have got this car stereo and it is great. Bluetooth worked brilliantly with my Nokia, but not so well with latest Samsung (prob my fault). The aux in for iPod is great too and sounds excellent.

Excellent price - HOT HOT HOT!
#22
Does it have a rear aux input as well as the front?
#23
I bought this recently also, definitely recommend it. Does everything it says on the box. Easy to fit as well.
#24

How easy is this to fit in with Vectra (2001 model), steering controls?

Does anyone know if the mic is sensitive enough to use at motorway speeds in a car such as a saxo (not the quietest of cars)?

Would the driver have to shout up to be heard on this or is the quality comparable to an in ear BT headset?

Would like to hear from anyone who has one and uses the BT call handlinga lot.

Thanks OP - Great deal if it does what I want it to, but in any case a cracking price!
#31
Thanks, just ordered the unit with the ipod cable :)

Already got a Parrot Car Kit, so didn't need the BT

Just got my dad to order one to replace his **** HU in his Astra, rather than fudging a solution with a Parrot kit.

Thanks OP

Does this work with the IPHONE?
#39
does it have FM?

Does this support multi-stalk adapters? I have a multi-stalk in my 206 and I want this to be able to use it. I bought the cheapo Goodmans head unit last week, but its pretty useless so i've put that on Ebay...
