True, but does it have a five year warranty like this one?

Very good price for a 5 year warranty. £2 more than Sandisk but worth it in my opinion. Hot from me.
#4
Hot from me, that's a pretty impressive warranty even if the performance isn't quite as good as the best.
#5
why wud i want a warranty for a usb flash drive

I've never had a usb flash drive fail yet, but I've lost plenty of them. Cheaper is better than warranty lol

The review on there isn't very complementary either.

My USB drives don't last 2 years let alone 5 before I retire them to menial use and buy a new one

my 2 year old Sticks are under 1gb each and I just bought an 8gb Sandisk Cruzer, could have got the 16gb but it's not worth the extra if I lose it

Either way they are more likely to break under 6 months in than 5 years in being electrical items

Yeah, but you can pretend to be a spy with this one.

Did Q make these?

So you press a button and it shoots a laser beam, disintegrating anyone its path? no? Ah, it turns into one of those grappling hook shooty things? no?

Bah, waste of time. :p

5 year warranty on something that holds data has got to be up there with a chocolate fireguard for usefullness!

I lose my cherished photos / important work stuff / evidence of the moon landings being faked....do I break down and cry...no because I am safe in the knowledge that they are going to replace it with something just as unreliable woohoo!

Heat and rep are always appreciated!

Yeah, but you can pretend to be a spy with this one.

lol :-D yeah arrested, raped & abused when you take your 007 memory stick with you to Russia, China or MiddleEast. I don't think they'll accept your plea of "I was only pretending to be one"

I think it's a good deal for a usb drive from a major manufacturer. If you want the name, then this would be great. Personally, I wouldn't. I'd rather save a few £ and buy something else. (Plus I don't buy Sony, but that's another story.)

Furthermore, a 5 yr warranty would normally be a major selling point, but as already mentioned, not much use on something like this imo. It won't protect your data and you'll be able to buy something with twice the capacity for half the price in 6 months (exaggeration to illustrate the point).

To what?

16gb for £15.99 Sandisk Cruzer (before Varsity 5% etc), it's the number 1 seller on the Electronics part.
