Ive got the 2gb version of this and my girlfriend has got the 4gb version.

Whilst they do get criticised for being a little slow, theyre great pieces of kit. Probably the very smallest drives going, built well, with an LED indicator. You can slip them in your wallet or keep them in your car (if you have a usb head unit) or use them for all sorts and they come with a little rubber protector.

People always looked shocked at the size of mine, and of the memory stick as well.

This is the best price I can find, obviously with 5% RAC/UCAS/VARSITY and quidco the price comes down.

"The MicroVault "TINY" is Sony's smallest USB flash drive with a fun, fashionable design and color-coded capacities. Measuring roughly ½ inch wide and just over one inch in length, the drive offers storage capacities of 8GB and plugs directly into standard USB ports.

With candy colors and compact design, MicroVault "TINY" proves smaller is better. As well, it features MicroVault Virtual Expander, which compresses your data to virtually store up to 3 times as much data."

As a possible alternative there's quite a small USB stick available from 7dayshop - a 8GB Super Talent Pico for £16.50
It is metal cased though so it is probably slightly heavier. Claims read speeds up to 30MB/sec
Drive Dimensions:
31.3mm x 12.4mm x 3.4mm
Good deal. I have the 1gb version, and it is great. It is quite literally the same size and thickness of a stamp.

It fits in half of the USB socket. You will see what I mean when you get it.

FYI, mine came with a nice little case. Obviously due to the size, without a case you WILL lose this
Is it about the same size as this micro sd reader?

You could get one of those plus an 8gb micro sd card for a few quid less than £17.99
