the 8gb was posted here a couple a days ago. it got very hot and then eventually spammed as no one managed to get one. even the OP couldnt prove he bought one at the sugested price so im not voting unless i know its actually available.
most stores only do the sony 2 and 4GB

so its a big con?

This makes me cry - I bought the original 256mb microvault in 2001 for the bargain price of £125, it doesnt pay to be on the bleeding edge of technology.

To be fair I think I must have been the only student not to suffer from floppy disk / disertation death corruption though....

Shall give their cs a call in mornin, let ur fingers do the walkin;-)

OMG! Haven't they been given enough of a hard time after the 3 for £2 offer (John Freida products) :p

so its a big con?

Probably not. Tesco seem to be very store specific with their deals. I've yet to see my local one have any of the deals on here that interest me.

That's a cracking price if you can get it. Shame St Rollox's flash drives come with a credit agreement :x

eh? in what way?
#15
They're just really expensive compared to other shops. Been over a few times looking for USB drives listed here, only to see them trying to sell them for over 20 quid.
#16
its £33.45 on tesco direct.......

I remember using zip disks as a student in 2001 - they were even worse than floppies!
#37
We had Syquest drives at our uni - near enough guaranteed corruption (...and using flaky Mac Quadra 650s)
#38
I picked one up last night from Tesco in Broughton - it was the last one in the reduced section and was still priced up for near £34 but scanned through for £8.

Been looking for one for a few weeks now and at this price I am very pleased. I wish there were more around but looks like v.limited stocks.

Thanks kpmatthews, great deal for me !
#39
Just checked 16GB at a store and also EAN at CM Services and they have it priced at £34.99. Must be store specific.

G

Edit: Just phoned store back and they scanned it at £8 although apparently when they go to print labels they run off at £34.99. I think I have managed to secure 2 at £8 at local store though.

Tescos are doing some weird deals. I got the Bakugan Bakubox for £4.98 (last one in store so didn't bother posting as a deal) and it's double that at Tesco Direct. Why are they doing site specific deals that no one else can use if they aren't withing 5 miles of the store???
