Web Exclusive Special Offer. Sony Nex-3 TWIN LENS, with 16mm 'pancake' lens and 18-55mm kit lens.

Cheapest this has ever been.

The Sony NEX-3A camera offers the exquisitely high quality performance and flexibility of a DSLR, but with the convenience and small size of a compact.
With the ability to swap E-mount lenses just like a DSLR, the Sony NEX-3 allows you to take a much wider range of shots than you could with a compact, from the most detailed macro to wide angle landscapes and distant telephoto images. You can even fit an A-mount adaptor to take advantage of your existing DSLR lenses.
However, rather than a bulky DSLR body, the NEX-3A comes with a slim and beautifully styled body that won't weigh you down, and will slip easily into a coat pocket or bag when you're out and about.
It's not just the lenses that make the camera, as the Sony NEX-3A has a stunning extra-large 14.2 megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor to guarantee phenomenal imaging performance. You'll really see the difference with richly detailed, low-noise pictures, even in low light.
As well as great stills, the NEX-3A will let you capture smoothly detailed 720p HD video, with quick autofocus to track the action - even while you're zooming. Beautiful background defocus effects add an extra dimension to creative movie shooting.
All this advanced technology doesn't come with ranks of intimidating buttons and menus though. The NEX-3A is simplicity itself to operate, with an intuitive on-screen interface, control dial and soft keys that will even allow you to make one-handed adjustments of camera settings.
The Sony NEX-3A allows you to create extra-wide images that can be viewed in 3D on compatible televisions, using Sweep Panorama mode. Meanwhile high speed burst shooting allows you to capture up to 7 frames per second -great for wildlife and sports photography - and Auto HDR combines three images at different exposure settings to capture extreme shadow and highlight detail.

16mm 'pancake/prime' lens is supposed to be very good (and tiny) but also, new 16mm pancake lenses are currently selling on a 'well known auction site' for around £150, so in principle, if you don't need two lenses, you could end up with a very high quality SLR class (APS-C sensor) camera, with 18-55mm kit lens and HD video capability for under £250, i.e. around the price of a good quality compact, but with far greater image quality.

£10 cheaper than last months Play deal (and that was for the hideous Red body only).

Hot on price.

Clever ploy - You can get good quality compacts for less than £250 although your argument is sound.
.
If image quality is imperative the current EOS 450 deals (£379 single lens and £479 dual) could be a good alternative...

Bought this camera with the 18-55mm lens kit for around £400 a few months ago. This is a great deal for both the 18-55 and the 16mm lens.
As Andy stated, you would have absolutely no problem selling the 16 mm lens but personally I would find my self wanting to keep a hold of it. Voted hot!!

You're right, they've changed it. Kicking myself now for not buying when it was listed with the two lenses....

Not really, Simply are not based in the UK (they are in Hong Kong) and so those prices don't include VAT, which you may (should) get charged on delivery, and the cameras may not be UK Stock, probably grey imports.

worth a read before ordering Simply Terms/Conditions also have a little read around, they get awful reviews. I almost bought a camera for my birthday from them a few weeks ago, glad I didn't!

the deal is back on bestbuy

However, if you doing your maths, it will cost you less that 80 pounds to get a much better kit - Nex 5 from bestbuy, with 10% from their website, and the VAT refund (via Sony).

Nex 3 isn't qualify for VAT refund.

tempted, indeed -waiting for Nex5 kit to be back in stock!!

Thanks for that..I'll do my homework - the Nex 5 looks like the better option overall if sourced at a decent price

I saw this deal and snapped it up as quick as! girlfriends 30th is next week so this was due for suprise of the century!! camera arrived today, opened up the box when i got home from work and only one lens was inside. I phoned Bestbuy and was told that the offer doesnt exist!

Spoke to the customer services manager, sent him my invoice and he was perplexed to say the least! Invoice states dual lens and he agreed with me. Although the product code (on my invoice)only states the camera plus 16mm lens, invoice number confirms the fact that two lens's should be included....The 'online team' work 9 til 5 so they are calling me in the morning. Helpful customer services manager to say the least up until now.

Any further advice otherwise would be greatly appreciated...

If the don't honour the deal (which I think the will) just send it back or mention that you next call will be to Trading Standards.
