This is my first post so be gentle with me & i know Littlewoods have got a bad name but i have been using them for years with no problems at all & as its Sony it won't go wrong :)

Just ordered Sony NR21s laptop from Littlewoods for £440, the price should be £549 but i used code XX625 & got 20% off which brought it down to £440 also got 52 weeks interest free payments, works out about £8.50 a week.

John Lewis got this same laptop for £599

I ordered this on the phone but you can get the same deal online, she told me i will get delivery of this on Wednesday, my brother also got the Sony CR 31 delivered today today for £499 instead of £999 (We all thought he wouldnt get this)

I missed out that deal by a few minutes but this is still a good deal when you can pay over 1 year interest free. Also that price was for 160gb version which is £449 (£349 with discount) this laptop has 250gb

Think the £299 one a week or two ago was the NR21 J/S model, the one mentioned here is the S/S model. Not entirely sure worth the extra, or if it warrants hot / luke warm / cold, but be fair you are not judging eggs with eggs !

Actually it had a 200GB hard drive.

Anyways what i wanted to say is that this laptop (NR21S/S model) is better than the previous £299 deal (NR21J/S model). This laptop has a slightly larger HDD, better processor and a Nvidia 8400M GPU with 128MB dedicated memory.
The question is: is it worth paying the extra £150?

I was hoping you may be able to answer that same question .............

Anyway, kopite72, what's this about the £499 CR31 ?

Littlewoods mispriced the Sony CR31 for £499 instead of £999 for a few weeks ago, luckily my brother got his but loads of people had the orders cancelled once they realised they made the mistake. He got it yesterday & its a mighty fine machine - retails at £850-950 on most websites but he only got it on interest free for 20 weeks still a very very good deal:thumbsup:

My answer is yes, it is worth it.

each to their own - it may be worth the extra BUT it depends on what you want to do with it e.g. Surf the net or do CAD work!!?

This is now back up to £699
