How does this compare with, say the TomTom 1 that's about £50 more?

Still thinking of getting something like this...

Maybe another option would be the hook somehting to my XDA Exec but don't want all the fiddling about.

Anyway, if someone knows about this compared to the TomTom, I'd be pleased for a comment.

Cheers, Dio :)
Now out of stock. Pity, great price.
XDA is fine if you will only use it from time to time - not really loud enough/powerful enough for everyday use. Not sure about comparison to TomTom im afraid however

Thanks for that; I'm tempted to go for the TomTom 1 but keep looking for bargains...

Cheers, Dio :)
I won one of these last year and ended up giving it my folks as it has facility to avoid motorways (which they don't like using).

It does however have a massive/complex cradle that really wants to be left fixed up to the screen - giving Sat Nav thieves a clear flag that there might be a NV-U50 in the car to steal. That's what my folks reckon cost them £50 for the excess when their passenger window was put through.

They've now worked out a way to use it without the cradle BUT it was an expensive learning curve for them.

Something to bear in mind with this and any other SatNav with a complex/bulky cradle anyway.
Tom Tom is the Best use each and every day
theyve been reducing to clear these for about a year now ! How many have they got to clear .... a million !?! :)
