Takes a mere 3 minutes to charge in order to enjoy up to three hours of playback. So plug it in, make a cup of tea and your new E Series is ready to entertain you for the next three hours. For a full charge, the E Series only needs two hours. You also get a set of headphones, the essential SonicStage3.4 CD-ROM and a quick start guide

I bought one of these a week ago for £29.99. However, this retailer is only in the east of England though and its out of stock online. Check below for availability. Great little player - Sonic software isn't that bad as long as you follow instructions. Sony ATRAC has allowed me to get 1200 tracks on this 2GB player.

Sorry, gotta vote this cold. If you apply for a Sony credit card, buy one thing on it and then cancel it you can get the next model up from this for free.

Ive had this MP3 player through a relative who didnt want it (the player is excellent btw) and now am getting another having signed up myself. The players are only 512MB but if that isnt enough for you you could at least sell them to put towards the 2GB model.

Im sorry but Play also have two better models at the same capacity for a similar price:

bit harsh (as porky parry would say). are you saying that the next model up has one-quarter of the capacity? also, what about people who don't want the credit check, or don't want to wait?

No, i was saying why pay £40 for an MP3 player when you can get the same model with less memory for free or get either of the next two models up at the same capacity (2GB) for the same price?:?

Surely you would either buy the better spec'd models at the same price or get the same model with less memory for free? I'm not trying to be funny but i dont see the point in voting something hot if it isnt really all that.

Just a heads up, but Sony are releasing a new model with a similar capacity and size to this BUT with the ability to copy mp3's directly through explorer in windows rather than using Sonicstage.

It might be worth holding out for these - coming September I think.
