This product is misprinted in the new catalogue at £29.99.
Argos have this covered in their small print, so their is only a possibility that they will honour it for you instore...BUT....

If you are brave enough to take the catalogue page into Comet (like I did) you will get a price match PLUS 10% of the price difference (like I did)!!!

This cool gadget then goes down to £22.99!!

Be quick before they catch on.

LOL !!!! this is another case of some poor saturday boy losing his job, when he rushes off to tell his manager what a good price match he has just done.....
#3
it was £99.99 when I clicked on the link

Read first post - it's a catalogue mis-price that MAY be available in store only...

What's Comet's price match policy?

Comet policy is to match the price, and in addition give you 10% of the difference aswell (in this case another £7).
If you dont take the catalogue page in though, they will likely phone up the nearest Argos branch and cotton on.

But are they typically willing to just discount something down by £70? I know that I would most likely ask my Manager first before just discounting something so heavily.

Sorry to be daft, but what page of the catalogue is this on?
#9
Sorry- found it now!

X10,
Like I said...you gotta be brave.....
My deal was cleared after asking the store manager...it is in the catalogue clear as day, Argos have simply printed the wrong price, so the description and illustration match up.

If you dont ask....you dont get!:-D

True, I just wanted to know how easy it's been for people to actually do this.
I know if you walked into my store and something we sold was priced at 500% more than an article you were waving in my face I'd tell you to kindly go purchase it at the place from whence the article came. I'd wonder why you'd taken the trouble to go to a different retailer asking for a massive discount in that store.

If you dont ask....you dont get! - Very true. I'm terrible at asking for things I know are a way of conning something out of someone.

I got 2! Just told them Argos was sold out...
#13
If an item is sold out in the store you have an offer for, the Price Matching store usually say that the item has to be in stock for them to Price Match.
I guess Comet are different.
I might try this tomorrow.

the incentive you want is the 10% of the difference...surely that makes it worthwhile and less-suspicious.
