I thought Sony were going to phase out Sonicstage software early this year and move towards Windows Media support, or was that their CONNECT service only?

they are, all there new players have ditched sonicstage

to everyone this player requires sonicstgae!!

my original point was that this player is superior to the newer drag and drop version,

for 20 squids , this is by far the best deal ive seen on here this year

Yea, though many CEX stores don't often take hardware for cash, as they have so much stock, because everyone knows their prices are high. Hot deal.
#26
Damn not in stock near me. Voted hot anyway, a good deal if you can get it. Was lookin for one of the older models as well :(
#27
Is there alternative software which can be used other than Sonicstage?
#28
Great find!
#29
cheers, found one close to someone that could fetch it for me. hot
#30
Can this be firmware upgraded to the WIndows Media versions like the 808?
#31
OK, am I reading this correct?.... this is NOT a drag+drop MP3 player and requires 3rd party software to transfers files onto it. Damit... I hate MP3 players that require software. Looks stunning MP3 player too :-(

HOT! all the same

Can't find any of these in the Midlands. Any advice anyone?
#36
Ring the stores. Think there will be a cut off point of when stock gets low, to stop online reservations. May be one or two in some stores still

I THINK?
#37

Do without one or drive to where they are in stock. What do you want, a miracle?

Usually it is still drag and drop. It's just you drag the music and drop it into the software's window, rather than the My Computer window. Well, that is the case with iTunes, anyway.
