Jump to unread Post a Commenta Walkman NW-A3000 which I've just sold on eBay and a iPod video, in my opinion the Sony's are better, I think the two models in particular that I have are better looking, more sturdy, faster and the controls are better than an iPod (maybe I'm the only one that dosn't like or get on with the iPod wheel idea)!? But, if you take the transfer software into the equation I would never recommend a Sony. Whereas iTune is powerful, stable, easy to use (once you've taken a while to study all it can do), Sony's SonicStage is a pile of Shite, you only have to do a Google search to see that is a common opinion. So I'd say yes, shame they don't get their act together and make it compatible with the Mac but they need to sort out the PC version first!
yeh we have an ipod video 30gig. and itunes is obviously an integral part of the mac and is great. i just fancied this player for myself as i have a sony walkman phone and like the set up, and the videos look great on the sony. plus the free dock was a great deal too.
oh well, maybe they will just allow it to work on other formats soon.
Yes will work fine in France The UK lowered its voltage from 240v to 230v and the continent raised theirs from 220v to 230v some years ago.
you of will have to change the plug or use an adapter as you know.
The dock is very handy, but the wireless is a bit fiddly to set up and I feel sound quality is not as good as through the mp3 player (probably due to all the audio processing the player does). Absolutely fantastic to be able to dock the player and use the remote control to control it though - very snazzy indeed!
Best purchase this year!
This is an absolutely CRACKING deal.
Many, many thanks to tommygun 3030 for the OP.
Voted HOT!

Why waste R&D money on a limited market?:p :whistling:
I have a BT wireless router that I use to send broadband to the kid's PC's in their bedrooms. Does this set up use this router or is there a seperate unit that plugs into the PC to transmit to the dock & speakers? If it does use the BT router will this interfere with the wireless broadband?
Sorry for the questions, but this isn't something I have done before. Thanks
You simply install the M-Crew Server software on the PC that is connected to your router, this software automatically sets up the radio stations. It then sends them to the docking station where they will appear on the docking station display where you can then choose which to play.
No it will not interfere with your wireless broadband although it does use your router because there is no seperate usb transmitter unit to plu into your PC
Yes it does
You can get something on eBay for that!
you prob need to download the newer software for vista as the supplied CD is prob out of date.
try www.sony.co.uk it talks about it on there..
just be grateful you can get it at all. im still pissed i cant get this player! the first time ive been annoyed to have a mac, (well annoyed with sony for being so narrow sighted)

All info I have found on the internet says this will NOT work with Vista.
Is there updated software? No pointers on the Sony website.
Steve
Its doing my head in, the setup starts, then about 2seconds later says installation complete restart computer, but it isnt installing anything.
It should be fine with XP, but unless anyone has actually got this working with Vista as far as I am concerned it is not compatible.

Steve
crap, I will have to set up a dual boot with xp.
Just found out that m-crew server is also not compatible with XP 64, just 32 only.
