The Auto-Transfer option allows this Walkman to search for all your MP3 files in your PC. The software can then copy these files directly to the Walkman. You can also record CDs directly from a Hi-Fi system via USB connection without any PC. There is also a 3-line colour display, a voice recorder (MP3) with a bit rate of low 96 bps - mid 128kbps - high kbps.

Ummm... do you think this requires external batteries (such as AAA) or will it run from an internal, rechargable battery like the ipod?
#3
Ordered this today but after seeing all the reviews on amazon I think it will be returning back for a refund.
Reviews here..(Same but in black )

Thanks rayman I've been looking for a decent cheap and small mp3 player for a while. Half the price of an ipod 2gb shuffle and a screen too.
#7
These are excellent. Very easy to use, just drag & drop whatever songs you want over. Battery life lasts for ages too.
#8
Thanks for the info !

OK, so it seems not to be perfect, but £17-99 is a great price!

Ordered one for my bruv :)

How do you find the shuffle function on this, does it work OK. I ask because of the reviews on amazon and this is a function I would use a lot.
#13
i ordered one... same as above question but also what version of the firmware do you have? v1.2 seems the be the latest?
#14
wellhellothere

shuffle works fine for me. although sometimes it repeats the same song when shuffled instead of going through each song on the album 1st before repeating

i have version 1.1 firmware on at the mo but going to update it in a minute, although im not sure what difference it will make

ordered 3, with £5 off gives a total of less than £50. Many thanks. Can't go that wrong with Sony really. Bought sansa express earlier and the thing decided to die within 1 week! Many bad reports of sansa express.
#16
I ordered one through quidco and used the 5% voucher, from 17.99 to 17.09 Lmao.

Excellent MP3 Player, had one for almost a year, no problems, very good quality, highly recommended. Voted Hot!

I wonder how much dragging and dropping it will take before it breaks :whistling:

I have a similar sony 2gb one. I got it from Amazon for just under a tenner more and to be honest it is great. Excellent battery life etc, if it is anything like the one I have then I would say snap it up. I had to use different software because the official sony software was appalling and responsible for a lot of the negative reviews on Amazon but once I installed the homebrew stuff it worked like a dream, dunno if that applies to this model.
#21
This one is "drag and drop" so no software required.
#22
hmmm tempting but those reviews are putting me off? any1 think this is good who has bought...il trusy fellow hot uk dealers hehe
