Shame you missed the deal for the Violet one at £17.99 here :

http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92392

Everyone that bought these MP3 Player's there's a Firmware Update for it.

Mine came with version 1.0.

The Update takes it to 2.01.

It seems to add an extra 'Search Menu' plus more Options in the 'Advanced Menu'. e.g. Screen Rotation for Left or Right handed users, etc

The Firmware is here :

If you install the following programs on a computer that has SonicStage installed, you cannot run SonicStage and these programs simultaneously:

* OpenMG Jukebox Version 2.2 (or later).
* MD Simple Burner Version 2.0 (or later) .
* Net MD Simple Burner Version 1.0 (or later) .
* SonicStage Simple Burner Version 1.0 (or later) .
* SonicStage Premium Version 1.0 (or later).
* VAIO Zone 1.0 (or later).
* music movie Version 1.0 (or later).
* WAV Conversion Tool.
* SonicStage Version 1.0 (or later).

You cannot install OpenMG Jukebox Version 2.1 (or earlier) on a computer that has SonicStage installed.

Running other programs for device/media simultaneously together with SonicStage may corrupt the music files on the hard disk, device or media.

Wouldnt touch Sonicstage with a preverbial, wouldnt buy sony mp3 player again even at half the price.

Got two violet ones three meters from me, can either sell them both or use one, but already have two iPod's and the new one is coming out tommorow, so with this logic, will be selling both!

I've not installed Sonicstage at all on my PC either AND you don't have to.

I used the Drag & Drop MP3 'voidMP3FM' software which is superb, easy and FREE to download from here :

I got the violet one as well, only thing that disappointed me was the lack of volume. Even with a decent set of in ear noise reducing headphones its too quite for the bus to work in the morning, ok at home with no background noise.
Apparently due to some EU rule, UK MP3 players are only 2.5W instead of 5W, never affected any other MP3 player i've ever had including my older sony one.
