How does this compare to the Sony NWZ-S639F 16GB (£83.59 after the 5% discount) listed here http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=278920

The NWZ-S639 has a smaller screen 2" Vs 2.4" but a slightly longer battery life IIRC 40 hours Vs 36 hours for audio and 10 hours Vs 8 hours for video. Apart from that any other factors to take into account in deciding between these two?

Wait until tomorrow when the government drops VAT to 15%, should be some better bargains soon.

Great Price.

The screen on this is fantastic,Its like comparing a 42" plasma to a 21crt

thats cheap.

I had a look at this one before buying the s639f from Amazon, and eventhough the nwza729 has the better screen I opted for the cheaper alternative. When it comes down to screens this small, honestly, how much different can it be - either way its going to be awkward and not enough detail? The s639f is an excellent player with the same features and a better battery life so go for that one instead if you are torn between the two.

This deal is still hot as the price has never been bettered.

Thanks for the post

Thats a ridiculous hyperbole. Checked out both players a month back in the sony centre in dundee. Yes the screen on this is bigger, but the quality on both is superb apart from the size there is no noticeable difference.

My advice if your going to be watching videos a lot, get this one for the bigger screen, but if your just going to watching short programmes the s630f will do the job. the S630F also has FM radio which I think this doesnt. Either way the sound of both of these are amazing, blow the average sounding ipod out of the water.

Just remembered inclosed in my s630F box was a 3month free trial of napster - unlimited downloads if you fancy a bit of legal downloading

I'm in exactly the same position. But to be honest, i don't really use the bluetooth function that much so i'm very tempted to get this and pass on my 8gb player to a friend.

Ditto. Its an awesome player! :)

I bought this a while back and bought the bluetooth headphones to go with it sperately.

What can I say, this is an awesome music player, fantastic sound quality and you can't understand the joy of wireless headphones until you have them.

RIP iPod.

I don't think the NWZA729 which is on offer at Argos has Bluetooth built-in or as Sony called the Wireless version which I believe is only available in 4GB and 8GB size.
#25
Can i use this to also record stuff? I.e like a dictaophone?
#26
I had to pay extra £8 to upgrade to Media Manager Pro
well worth it though if you transferring videos as it converts them for you !
#27
this doesn't have bluetooth or radio, it does have noise cancelling (only with earphones included though).
