If I buy this one and return the old one would they notice
Probably, but it's also really unethical so think before you scam.

See, I don't "need" a 2nd controller, but at the same time, it'd be a bloody good idea... What to do?!.....

It's good for two players and also, when one is charging use the other.

Is the "V2" controller somehow better or different from the standard black controller which comes with the PS4? Thanks!

the biggest difference is that the touch pad now has a transparent strip running along the top so you can now see the colour of the light from the front.

Thinking whether to buy a spare...or wait for the price to drop further...

I love the PS4 controller.

I hate its battery life.

Well worth having a spare on charge and ready to go if you can stretch to it.

Does anyone know whether the thumbs ticks are more durable. The coating on both of my current controllers has eroded

it also has improved thmbsticks, the original ones were prone to peeling off.

yes they have changed the material, so they don't wear off like the first ones.

Exactly why I have a second controller

Doesn't work for me

I'm assuming the V2 will work fine with SteamLink just as V1 did?

I really need another controller but it's annoying they don't have other colours of the new model.

bought one last week at @ £45 and amazon said they would refund the difference

Also good for PS Now.

The DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller has been updated with a new look and feel, including a more visible, colourful light bar to put even more of the game into your hands. It’s the most ergonomic, intuitive PlayStation controller ever designed.

Worth getting the v2 if you're still on the original pads, if the thumb pads haven't worn off yet, they will.

v1 are crap got like 6 of them only one working (sprint analog)

What? I tried the same thing they flat out said no, I've had to arrange a collection of my previous V2 ordered last week and now when trying to buy another V2 for 34.99 it's not allowing me to. Total farce

I bought a game three days ago. A day later the price went down £2.50 so I asked could I get it refunded. The woman said that amazon policy has changed & they don't do that anymore.

Did you kick up much of a fuss? I don't understand why I've been treated differently?

nope i just asked what they could do. you not being able to purchase the controller again sounds more like a payment issue or something though ?

Amazon price match is rubbish now, they prefer to send out a new cheaper item and you to return the old one. I guess it keeps the couriers busy though.
#33
L3/R3 has broken on all of my 3 controllers, intermittent, sometimes runs then stops. Was worse on advanced warfare though, on boost jumping it was slamming down all the time!

Tried paying the normal way, never had any issues until I dare ask for a price match.... Funny that.

Do the sticks on this pad last longer than the previous version?

I've gone through 3 controllers now, and my 4th (MGS5 diamond dogs pad) is on the way out too. Rediculous.

Will there be any sales for the v1 controllers soon?

I'm looking for a new controller and wouldn't mind the 'old' controller now, because hopefully it will be cheaper, since the newer model is out.

I heard the new v2s have the same battery & battery life as the v1s, so for me personally, the v1 is the better option (if it's around £25)

It's cheaper for the v2 from Amazon lol. I guess I'll give it a week or 2 to see whether the prices for the v1 drop
