This will not sell out, no need to preorder it, definitely an extortionate price.

That is insanely expensive!

Sony are starting to make the Rift look cheap X)

That looks like the Wii Zapper with a Move controller stuck to the end of it. £100?! Crazy money.

be better off buying a move controller set + sharp shooter for half this price...

Wow!... what are the chances you'll be needing these in 12 months?

It may be the best price, but this whole VR thing seems to be a fad in waiting, bet all the kit will just collect dust in 12 months. Hope i'm wrong, but as someone who has had the cameras, move controllers and guns in the past, it does feel like history repeating.

No way will it cost this much at launch, its essentially half a dualshock and half a move controller in a plastic triangle, expect the price on this to be much lower at the release of Farpoint early next year. I've tried the game and controller at the recent EGX show, and it was an awesome vr experience!

As a game/controller bundle i'd expect something around £80 - £90 rrp, with deals at less online.

Disappointed. Was hoping for VR Special Editions, but they only seem to be releasing Pisstake Editions.

Have you tried it yet?
I used to think the same then I tried the PS VR, not a fan of PS/Sony at all but it was incredible.

About 29% of the cost of the actual headset? That is some next-level urine extraction right there.

I haven't tried it to be fair. But i do remember trying Move at a show in perfect conditions, thinking it was amazing, surrounded by so much hype and people saying it was incredible. Bought the controllers, camera and sharpshooter. Then tried it at home had two months of fun and went back to 'normal' controller games.

I will give it a go at some point i'm sure, as i'm a sucker for a gadget and spending money.

watching all the streams from giant bomb and kinda funny, the tracking of the head unit and controllers seems to be a bit hit and miss, hoping a patch would fix this, but I'm still super excited about psvr, I think after Xmas and into the first quarter of next year you will start to see bundles of the head unit and games for maybe a more reasonable price but the prices right now are a wee bit rich for my liking, hoping the price levels out a bit more.

They've got to dupe the shareholders of these companies into thinking VR will make them millions, just to keep them happy! They probably use the Wii as a reminder of the sales explosion. Looking forward to picking up my VR headset for £50 when it's near end of life and new games are non-existent.

I've tried out this controller when playing the Farpoint demo. The tracking was excellent and the feel of the controller helped add that extra immersion. This price seems too ridiculous for a controller that, so far, only has one officially supported game. Down the line, how many will it be compatible with?

I was hoping it'd be no more than £40. Not because the controller isn't worth maybe just a little more, but to help with the starting off point to push VR. People buying the PSVR that don't already have the camera or move controllers, the cost is quickly adding up.

If the PS4 Pro is confirmed to make PSVR perform smoother/sharper (immersion is excellent though I did notice graphics around the edges are far more jaggy and slightly blurry), the complete ideal set-up cost is getting silly very quickly. That's not even taking into consideration getting a 4k HDR television with a true 10-bit panel. Which, for a decent one at the moment, costs around the £1000 mark.

I do want VR to succeed and I'm excited for it, but I'm hoping the costs become a bit fairer than £100 for a light plastic controller.

VR most definitely will not die. Personally I believe it will be massive in all areas of life, not just games - but most people can't see past the next 6 months.

As for this, yes I'm shocked at the price of it. If you're going to make something this expensive then at least ensure it's not the gayest looking accessory of all time.

Yup that is fine. Personally. I would pay that little bit extra and get the official PS3 sharp shooter.

It doesn't.

Look at the front piece, there are additional controls on there.

Looks like this is essentially the Sharpshooter, but the move wand and Navigation controller are built into it. Also no adjustable stock.

that's a negativerino. The sharpshooter isn't compatible and neither are the ps3 gun adaptors.

Wow, I assume this is a placeholder price.

Also - what's the advantage of this over a standard DS4? I understand it's more gun shaped, but the DS4 has a tracking light, gyro and the usual sticks and buttons - so surely it should work just as well for games like Farpoint?

it's more immersive holding the aim controller

**** me! £99 for it! wow thats a lot
#33
You would be super stupid to pay this much and would need shooting with it! Gamestop have it listed with farpoint for $79 so will be this price or less in the UK as well!
#34
It's been priced up at £74.99 for the bundle
