Cex offering £33 for Dead Space 2

With VAT up to 20% now, that reduces the price to £163.33 for me here in Guernsey!

I can finally cancel the Next deal order (that was probably never going to materialise!) - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sony-playstation3-ps3-120gb-game-hd/847002?page=1

Thanks!

Might trade my copy in then now I've finished it, although I do enjoy having a load of games in my collection.

It will, and upscale them to 1080p too.

is the DVD player in the PS3 any better than the BDP-S370? (and those other Sony Blu-Ray players)

I want to order this, but have £40 worth of nectar vouchers too. So have changed them to amazon vouchers. Whats the bet that by the time the voucher comes through (within 3 days), they will be out of stock?

Order this and sell those 2 on ebay, you'll make a lot more than the stingy game trade in prices! :)

any way to take advantage of the £15 game offer? without being dodgy

Probably right. Interesting thing is Amazon dropping the price to match Tesco, which surely means they could always sell at that price. Always feels like people in UK pay over the odds, even with VAT, we pay a lot more compared to Americans.

To "take advantage" buy the one with highest trade-in price, probably Dead Space 2 for £30+ I guess, then that means you've bought the console for £181!

How would this work with my existing games that I've paid for in my psn acount. If I deleted my games and acount from my 80gb console and traded it in would I be able to redownload the games from the psn store or are they tied to the original console. I fancy going for 1 of these but don't want to lose all the games I've paid for from the playstation network.
#23
just redownload them after you have reactivated the new ps3 to the psn account.
also, you can run a network cable between them and ghost one to the other, so you essentially loose nothing!
#24
Oooh Thanks, been looking to get a new one since my old one died on me last year :)
#25
I hope everyone knows they can go through the nectar card website and buy it the same as you would do when buying something with quidco or TCB, that way you get something like 200 nectar card points worth £1 too. You can do that with anything you want to buy on Amazon.

With the amazon deal you can also add the AmazonBasics 2M Dual-Shielded High Speed HDMI Cable £4.99 and it still comes to £211. I bought it the other week but it come to £235! wish i'd waited now. But i sold my old phat 40gb with 3 £10 ish games on play.com for £169,they took £3.50 off for fee's then 5% when i transferred the money into my bank, which was cheaper than e bay & paypal fees,oh your postage as to come off that though £10 ish.Ended up with about £145 from that, put the rest and got a new un, also amazon trade your old games now,so the game i got was assassins creed brotherhood with my deal and i sent it back to them,an they give you a gift certificate.i got £26.54 back.

Play Trade fees are 10% so would have cost you at least £16.90 in fees? Or am i missing something?

£3.40 fees + 50p completion fee (£3.90), and when i transferred £150.00 they took £7.50 .I know if i've sold games on there they take 10% commission,it must be different for electricals, i've only ever sold ps3/wii games on there.I sold it for £169.95 so it looks like its 2%

While out shopping earlier walked into gamestation to ask if they would price match this. They was shocked at the price amazon were selling this for and said there was no way they could get close to this deal!

perhaps they made a mistake? i was expecting more too, but if you go through the process of listing yours, and set your price, it works out what the fees are, before you confirm.

I got mine for the same price from tesco direct £5 quidco, 392 clubcard points and free to collect instore. Good deal though if you want one of the £15 games.

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-2034.aspx

To the guy asking about the s370 there is a multi region hack for dvd on the s370 otherwise dvd and bluray playback is very similar. The ps3 has some other advantages though........ Not least being able to play games.

Edited By: mentm on Feb 12, 2011 18:46: why not?
