Probably says more about voters' suspicions of the Op's motives for posting more than the deal. If you can find a deal cheaper, why not just say so in that thread rather than making it the next post, especially for the sake of a few pee?

To enlighten more people mate, you shouldn't vote for "OP's intentions" and the deal itself, this is why HUKD is going to the cleaners IMO, to may other motives the voters factor in hen you have the COLD voters alliance, if a deal is very cheap and cheapest on net, and there is a demand for the product, I believe this is the only reason to vote, no other reason should be factored in...

People don't always read the threads, a lot of people probably see the deal and go straight to the site. This was the right thing to do, voted hot, voted the other thread cold.

Lol @ going to the cleaners. How would you know, n00b?
If it's getting any worse it's because people are competing to post deals on the same item that differ by pennies. If it's only 5 pence cheaper than everywhere else, it's not a hot deal! I come here for bargains, if I want to know who has a SLIGHT edge over the competition I'll use a price comparison site!

If people can't be bothered reading the threads the lazy sods don't deserve a bargain.

Calling noobs over the internet is so not cool... You have just lost the argument writing that coz it is so pathetic. ! And I have been observing this site for a few months now, and just signed up, nothing like a good friendly welcome, but just doesn't make sense how one deal is hot and is more expensive, then one which is cheaper is cold, it is just principle, and doesn't make sense... It could be 5p for £5, should still be hot, not cold, some people may prefer to order from Zavvi some Play.. Not a valid excuse IMO...

Only a noob would say that. Or even pass judgement on who 'lost the argument'.

Both should be cold as there's not enough differentiation between the prices. Just under £15 is standard price everywhere, no need to call anybody's attention to it.

No, calling people noobs over the internet is pathetic. ! End of.

So a price that is cheapest on net should be cold, standard price I thought for these was around £18...

Like the majority on this site now, you're missing the point.

This place didn't used to be about finding any old thing and then posting the lowest price you can find, despite it being too close to RRP to be any kind of bargain or deal.

This place used to be about people sharing unbelievable deals and bargains than are rare, one off events.

Like the man says, it's becoming a price comparison community.

And why so sensitive about being a noob? We're all noobs somewhere on the net.

I can see your point on the comparison thing, but the rare deals posted are almost impossible to find, like the famous .97 Currys / PC World deals. ! Find a rare deal and post it and by the time you have posted it it is sold out...

Noob, is just a very immature, and over used word IMO, the point is not being sensitive, just that word is a silly word to use in my books, and FYI, I wasn't calling you pathetic, I was saying the action of calling someone a noob is pathetic, which it is IMO...

After Quidco Zavvi is around the same price anyway, RAC can't really be factored in for a fair comparison as everyone doesn't really have it...

The main point which I missed is the dispatch time which is much quicker at Play, that is why I now think the Play deal is better.

This is now available for £12 from Sony Europe (already posted elsewhere on the site) and better still, they are doing the Dualshock 3 for £18.
