Just been having a browse on the playstation rewards site and noticed they have three bundles for the 250Gb slim PS3s available.

They appear to be pretty good deals to me if you are after a bundle. They are:

PS3 250GB Gamer Pack inc 2 Games & 2 Movies -
https://www.playstationrewards.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=37&product_id=1088

This is the 250Gb console plusGod Of War, Medal Of Honour plus District 9 and Zombieland Blu-ray.

PS3 250GB Social Pack inc Mics + 2 Games + 2 Movies - https://www.playstationrewards.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=37&product_id=1090+

This includes the 250Gb console with Take That Singstar, Fifa11 plus two wireless mics and Hancock and The Ugly Truth Blu-Rays. The mics alone are worth around £30.

And the final one:

PS3 250GB Family Pack inc 2 Games & 2 Movies - https://www.playstationrewards.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=37&product_id=1089

This includes the 250Gb console plus Modnation Racers and Fifa 11. Plus 2012 and Cloudy with a chance of meatballs Blu-Rays.

Pack 2 is the best value I reckon if you want the mics.

isn't the 250gb older version than the 160gb and 320gb?
#2
It is slightly older but again there are two lots of versions. I am sure an expert on PS3s will enlighten you. Something to do with a code on the box. All slims are meant to be immune to the YLOD that the older versions suffered from.

Good deals thanks. Heat added.
How 'legit' is Playstation Rewards? Sorry this isn't in anyway criticism, just a genuine question as my Mum is looking to get my brother a PS3 and I said I'd help. Would hate to push her towards something dodgy.
All comments (even if they're along the lines of it's run by Sony you t*t) will be greatly recived.

just bought 160gb console for £204.99 yesterday, its been shipped and on its way today, amazin service!!!
#5
I have not seen wireless ones for that price. But to be honest I am not in the market for them so haven't been looking. I did a quick google price comparrison and they all were around £30 or more. There are a number of deals for the wired versions around.

Those are the wired versions of the mics. The wireless ones on the playstation rewards site are £35.85.

Anyone ever had to deal with aftersales support from Playstation Rewards? Or even returns?
There is a lot of chat about the deals on this forum but not that much info on the company?!

And why the need for a code to enter the site if its just a shop and nothing to do with Sony? Its as if its trying to make out its restricted access club or something which smacks of marketting.

Just curious that's all.
#11
cos their discounted items for employees of certan companys.
#12
Well I never. This is a marvellously good deal indeed :{ Thank you and good day to you sir!

I bought the gamer pack last week. Next day delivery too. Lovely stuff.

The site is run by the UK distributor of PS3s and it is set up for members of certain industries (postal and I think virgin media employees).

Their customer support is odd. They have no contact details except an email address. I received a faulty 160gb PS3 Slim from them on Friday and raised a return on Saturday, had no email confirmation on me raising a return so sent them an email on Monday which they replied in less than 15 minutes telling me that a returns label has been sent out and to call them on the phone number given in the letter to arrange a delivery.

Letter arrived today, called them, arranged delivery for today and have been told I will received a new PS3 no later than Friday. Not too shabby. So overall they have excellent customer service but due to lack of contact number or confirmations of emails they make you feel like they are disorganised when in fact they are pretty good (so far)!

DPD site-

Your parcel is on the vehicle for delivery
The estimated time of arrival is between 13:05 - 14:05

ooooh the suspense!
#19
How do you find out anything about this company & how to purchase from them?
#20
so is the 250gb slim model exact same as the 160gb and 320gb models apart from the hard drive? i heard the 160gb and 320gb were newer
#21
The 160GB and 320GB are newer, with new model numbers (CECH-25xx). In the past, model number changes have often included changes to the chipset (e.g. the change from CECH-20xx to CECH-21xx reduced power consumption a little), but I'm not sure if there have been any other internal changes here.

I bought the 160GB console on friday, was suddenly £199.99, got it in the basket straight away. Was being processed on the weekend, which is not unusual - monday night it was shipped and it arrived tuesday morning, free delivery.

absolute bargain

Nice price, with my staff discount @ ASDA I paid £254 for a 320GB which included F1 2010 and Move Starter Pack. Selling them off as I don't want them

I have given up trying to work out how some people vote on this site!! There was so many cold votes to begin with - really can't see how as I thought the deal is a cracker. Ha ha - it must be my avatar I guess! And it is Gemma Atkinson just in case you were wondering.
#36
Voting system is shagged by numbnuts voting cold. I rarely rely on temp to decide on deals these days.
