Not sure why this is cold, seems good to me

Hot cold votes are probably from people moaning about the PSN being down. Great price but the 40gb and 60gb consoles are a bit prone to YLOD. So that might also be the reason why people are voting cold. But voted.

This is the most unreliable hardware configuration of the PS3 to date, very prone to YLOD and BRD

No doubt someone woke up one morning and found their PS3 missing, and now it's in Smack Converters.

A fan blowing on my 60GB has kept it alive for years now, not ideal but it works!

For those going on about the YLOD problem this is mostly specific to the 60gig models, comparatively it seems that the 40gigs tend to be more reliable than their 60gig forefathers, however any model can YLOD.

My 60gb died when my cat Urinated on my tv stand. The dripping hit the feather touch sensitive eject button which ejected my uncharted disc. After so many seconds of a disc not being removed, the ps3 pulls the disc (now covered in cat wee) back in and it starts spinning. Needless to say, the inside got soaked. True story.

Back to the deal, good price if you're on a budget or want a spare for the bedroom.

Did you watch it happening? You seem to know exactly how it happened lol

My 1st 40gb had BRD and my 2nd had YLOD now on the 320gb slim.

Although my US 40gb import still works fine (touches wood)

Two years in, spent most of it's life playing discs, and mine's fine.

Cash converters near me only give 3 months warranty on ps3's.

Is this a national offer?

Awesome detective skillz or twisted but brilliant imagination. I can't decide. Thumbs up either way :P

If you havn't already bought a new one, these guys may be able to help http://www.gameworlddirect.co.uk/
Just bought a Jtag 360 off them and spoken to them on the phone. they seem pretty good.

I had a launch 60gig console and have never had any problems!

I would rather buy from these guys than game or game station! Bought an xbox 360 from game, went to "improve" it and it turned out to be rrod that they had repaired! Even had their own security sticker on it!

Cheeky monkeys!

I would say NES, SNES, PS2 and PS1 before Dreamcast. I had a Dreamcast and as much fun as it was at the time, most of the games have aged very badly, just like PS1 games.

Any good deals on pegs, I need one for my nose before going into my local Cash Converters. I'm not joking, it genuinely smells.

It was cured of the YLOD 3 times but eventually failed again and apparently the GPU is overheating which isn't worth fixing. If I sell it on eBay as faulty with a GPU problem I'll be lucky to get a tenner for it after fees so can't be bothered.

it seems to be just a single pre-owned ps3 on offer in one city.it shouldn't even be posted as a deal.misguiding indeed.
reminds me of the £50 brand new xbox360 on HMV of some city..etc..

I've had a 40GB for 3 years almost now, heavy use, runs fine. Console wars suck.

How is this a 350+ degree hot deal?

It's one unit in one store
