Personally, i used the RAC voucher which brought it down to £275.49 delivered.

When you think you're getting a console which is superior (technically) to the 360 for an extra £, with a built in blu ray player, built in wi-fi, usb cable to charge control).

Will go into that in another post. Either way, bargain for this price!

hope it helps

Not to cause an argument, this is pure fact for those wondering what to buy.

please note, i own a 360, but will be selling it as i found the ps3 to be a better console for the following reasons;

superior build quality, the fail rate was like 0.001%. At one time, 1/3 Xbox 360's were breaking...
built in blu ray player, supposedly the best on the market. worth approx £100 alone
built in wi-fi, whereas it's approx £45 on the 360
usb cable to charge control, on the xbox its £12 for the charging kit
FREE ONLINE SERVICE !!! ( Which IS just as good if not better than 360's)

Why is the PS3s service better? Because of dedicated servers. Microsoft make you pay for Xbox Live, when they're not hosting the games. The games are being hosted on someones Xbox console, meaning it's not unusual to get lots of lag and interrupts (COD4 & 5 especially) and be disconnected entirely.

I have yet to be interrupted or kicked off the PS3 whilst online.

Don't get me wrong, the 360 isn't a BAD console, it just cannot compete with the momentum of the PS3.

P.S

I could be a salesman!

£23.51 more to be exact.

HDMI cables are £5 or less on fleabay or ebuyer and then you're paying approx £18 for the game.

So really, it's not much of a better deal.

Cheers though.

p.s

all the 360 fanboys must be voting this cold...

yes its more than £10 if you use the RAC code and Quidco
and you are 100% right about PS3 being the better console, people say its too expensive blah blah, but actually for what you get its very cheap, and Sony have made massive losses on them, they wouldnt have made losses if they were worth less

maybe its because you need to keep paying when you have an Xbox 360, like he mentioned?

Yeah true, I had to sell one of my children to pay for the £29 superior Xbox live annual fee.

Here's a 360 fanboy. Let me guess, you voted cold?

Why would i want to keep an inferior console which lags online, because the hosts have poor connections and i am paying for a service which Microsoft don't have anything to do with, it's pathetic. And before you go ahead and say it'll be my internet connection, i've previously owned a PS3 and played one recently and the connection was fully green (perfect).

So, i think i'm the one ''ROFL'' at your ignorance.

Have a nice weekend

PS3 is zero pennies, and provides an excellent service. superior or not to another console, i'd rather have the free choice
plus you get Playstation Home etc.
say you compare the consoles within a 10 year lifespan.
PS3 - £0.00
Xbox 360 - at least £300 (much more money than this entire PS3 package)

and that is only counting the payment for the internet service, it doesn't include
controller charge kits
wireless internet adapter
etc

Mallinersha,

bottom line is this mate,

Microsoft are charging you to play on Xbox Live, and they don't host your games. In simple terms, not to insult your intelligence, Microsoft are robbing you. They dont need to pay a member of staff to look after the servers. They simply have us, the general public hosting the games!!!

PS3 has dedicated servers, meaning the connection is better, if anything goes wrong there's a technician being paid to fix the server issues etc. 10x better. And it's FREE !!!

If anything, you'd expect Sony to charge us for the dedicated servers, but they don't.

Sorry to get at you in my previous post, but your post seemed a bit harsh, what with the ''ROFL'' comment.

I'm not comparing anything other than the online service which is superior on the 360 even though you have to pay.

More people will agree than disagree on this matter.

I'd rather have the free choice too, but it aint gonna happen on the 360.

I've owned my PS3 (60gb) since launch day but think the 360 is better online. Maybe because I have more friends that use the Live service etc... Just my personal opinion is all.

Rather have the best of both worlds and have the 2 consoles...

my mate says a similar thing. He says the PS3 is a better console, better internet, but the 360 has all his mates on and that's why he uses it.

I think once Sony impliment the XMB and your mates, and mates mates get a PS3, it's gonna take off big time. And maybe if Sony brought out a headset too, instead of buying your own bluetooth headset?

No probs, and to be honest the only time I've ever experienced Live problems was last Christmas..

And I said 'ROLF' - it's the new netspeak for 'ROFL' (apparently)
