If it's console only may as well just get the eBay Tesco refurb one for £269 I'd pay the £40 more personally and get three games for £349
#2
hot, but only because its john lewis.. the price itself is not the best out there.
#3
The price is shocking when you can get the game deal or Argos deal and trade in the games for much more than the difference

4p more to add GTA and Driveclub from Rakuten/ShopTo.

The PlayStation 4 is a great place to play

Where is PlayStation 4, exactly?

I'd prefer one of the bundles thats being doing the rounds from Game for the past few days and if you really want a 2 year warranty buy Game's own extended Warranty that includes accidental cover for only £39.99
#17
Wouldn't it technically have a 2 year warranty under EU law anyway? I'm not really in the know as far as that goes, if someone else is more clued up feel free to chime in!

Yes the EU regulation gives 2 year guarantee against the seller.

Not so fast DealHunter, it's actually 6 years of cover in England under SOGA but only for faults you can prove was there from new unless its under 6 month old.

You are correct on the SOGA, but from what i understand, the EU regulation does not require the buyer to show the fault is inherent in the product from new. Not sure which rule would take precedent in such a situation.

Thats the thing though, it's not law it's a EU 'directive' that the UK did not need to follow as it allready had the more stringent SOGA. Yes if people start spouting out EU law etc. etc. at a retailer the manager may just cave in for an easy life, it all depends on the retailer and staff on the day.

Does anyone know of any console deals that can be price matched with what's on john Lewis' website?

Kinda wondering the same thing.

I wouldn't buy a console only PS4, especially when there are so many good bundles about. Not unless it broke the £300 barrier. I wont vote Hot or Cold for now.

I'm guessing because it's John Lewis, reputable company and it comes with '2 year warranty'.

4 top games... Hardly .. More like three graphically enhanced last gen games and a £9.99 bottom shelf throw in
#32
Wot no games!

Against the £350 recent bundle at game you're paying at least £80 for a one year warranty on a £270-ish new item, as the manufacturer always covers the first year. John Lewis are a bit expensive, and that's being kind.
