well aware of that deal, but thats the psp go white, play .com sell the black psp go for £199.99, so please if you want to compare, then compare like for like, and remember the box is damaged, not the product.
#3
completely forgot these existed...
#4
Added some heat as it's a pretty good price, however something I wouldn't consider purchasing.
#5
Over priced at £150 really.
#6
Consoles like this may in general be overpriced, but if it's the best price available then its a good deal, i haven't found a shop yet that i can walk into and say your product is overpriced so i'm repricing it for you. If i was to do a post telling people that you could get unleaded petrol for 90p a litre ( which is just for example ) you wouldnt vote cold and say that petrol is overpriced, you'd vote hot because it would be the best available.
#7
No instead most people choose not to buy therefore forcing the price to get lower. This is a waste of money, no umd drive and no real upgrade on what is available far cheaper.
#8
OMG, i don't want one and won't be buying it, but some people might like one, and if they do i have provided them with a source at a competitive price . You can try choosing not to buy fuel for your car then. And as for UMD, its not needed as you buy games direct from psn by download and umd movies are useless.
#9
ive got a brand new black one for £130 and i cant give it away
#10
I don't want one either. The lack of UMD drive means you have to buy the games (no cheaper than the UMD version) and download them. You cannot then sell that game on, loan it to a friend. You cannot rent games or play your old PSP games.
#11
you can give it away if you want :o)

He just said he can't :whistling:

Certainly agree that if you have a psp and want to update to a go, not being able to use the umd games is a bad point, but some people will be first time buyers. Anyway, your obviuosly not a fan of the machine, i'm indifferent my ps3 will do for me, i don't want to go portable.

If he wants to give it away, (i.e free) then he can, to me :w00t:

Same here. I'll stick with my ps3.

But a lot of gamers like to sell their games on and pick up second hand copies. This just stops that and doesn't even try to address the problem. By charging the same price online as for a UMD game, the games are actually costing a lot more as you have no resale.

You really have to wonder what sony were thinking of when they decided this was a viable product.

I'm with Steve here, the deals posted on this site are about the cheapest price for a product, regardless of how overpriced it is in the first place. It would be different if the post said "cheap portable games system £150"
#18
However I'd like to also point out that Buyithere are an awful company. I bought a guitar hero controller from them about 6 months ago and the controller was broken. After 3 conversations with their support and promises of sorting out the problem (which they never did) I decided to fix it myself. Turned out the battery pack was disconnected from the circuit board - didn't take long to fix. Basically they're a bit of a gamble, I've heard a few good and a few bad stories about them

Steve is in the right here. If it's the cheapest price going for a product (even if it's still overpriced rubbish by our standards) it should not be voted cold. Vote cold if you can find it elsewhere, otherwise kinda defeats the purpose of HUKD.
#20
Has been this price for the black one before. Would rather pay £150 for a new white one now (box damaged suggests previously sold/returned and thus second hand, opened or otherwise).

Also, they are about to re-launch the PSP GO and the expected prce point is less than £150, according to an article I read. I think it was MCV.

So I vote tis one cold for me and what I thin k is a hot deal.
Good spot though and keep posting.
#21
So anyone any idea when the PSP2 is coming?? :p
#22
Again, I think MCV said there was going to be a new PSP 400 (probably lighter with brighter screen) and revised Go (bigger screen). PSP 2 won't come out until the new nintendo portable (with wii like features???) is released.

I opened a can of worms with this post, but glad i did, inspired some good debate. the resale issue for games was a good point.

I brought a second hand psp go
the games are all ready on it, and the psn store is under the old owners user and password.
can anyone that knows please let me if i sign into my psn account if i can still play the games, only i want to buy some games from the minis store.

thanks

Hot price as I would much prefer black to white, but having said that I, like everyone else, won't be purchasing. I had the original PSP and just never played it - namely due to extremely long load times. I suppose this all coming from a memory card should reduce this? When they are £100 I think I'll buy...

If you don't know the users password you've had it and if you create a new psn account, then your changing the content owner and won't be able to play the games after.

I had one, but part ex'd it in blockbusters for £150 and then bought a PSP-3003 for £70.
As content is via the PS Store, it is very expensive to run compared to a traditional PSP with a UMD drive. I was getting pee'd off buying stuff for £29.99 when the UMD was always discounted.

Take FireTeam Bravo 3 - £17.99 new on UMD or £24.99 PSStore.... hmmm.... great idea!

I will say though, it is well built and registering your PS3 controller to watch or play games on a TV is great.

If it got hacked, i'd expect the resale value to shoot back up, as it is a nice piece of kit, just a shame that PSStore and price of software / no UMD migration let's it down.

Isn't that a likely scenario for the next next-gen consoles? I hope not, because that would REALLY suck.

For the people that make the games and consoles it would be the ideal scenario. But in reality it just means people avoid it. Being able to trade or sell a second hand game is what takes the edge off the prices.

Sony could be clever and significantly drop the prices of the download games, offer an online trade or bonus points when you purchase games that allows discounts later. But as usual they will continue to be greedy and take all they can.

Maybe the 'relaunch' will see them do this and drop the price of the console itself. I won't hold my breath.
