Sony Offer until 30th September 2010: Buy a PSPgo, download 10 free PSP games worth over £200.

How do I claim my games?

First, you need to buy a PSPgo in one of the participating countries - see the terms and conditions for a list of which countries are included.

Then, you must sign in to PlayStation Network using your PSPgo directly via Wireless Internet. If you haven't registered a PlayStation Network account before then you will need to do so.

Once signed in, head to PlayStation Store using your PSPgo directly via Wireless Internet and download the free PSPgo Promotion Theme pictured above, which can be found in the Latest category on PlayStation Store. You must do this before midnight on 30 September 2010 to be eligible for the promotion. Make sure that you wirelessly download the PSPgo Promotion Theme directly onto your PSPgo, as this offer is not compatible with Media Go or PlayStation 3.

Providing you are eligible, you will then receive an email with a PlayStation Network Promotion Code that can be redeemed against the following games:

* 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
* Gran Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
* Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines
* Gran Turismo
* LittleBigPlanet
* Motorstorm Arctic Edge
* Wipeout Pure
* Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice
* Need for Speed Shift
* James Cameron's AVATAR: The Game

Please ensure that the email address associated with your PlayStation Network account is correct and active. The email will be sent out no more than 30 days after you have downloaded the Promotion theme, although it is more likely you will receive it in less than a week.

Once you've entered your PlayStation Network Promotion Code, you can download your free copy of each game.

Does this offer only apply to owners of a PSPgo?

Yes, if you download the PSPgo Promotion Theme onto any other model of PSP, PlayStation 3 or your PC, you will not receive the Promotion Code. You must also download the PSPgo Promotion Theme before midnight on 30 September 2010. The downloadable games made available under this promotion will only be playable on PSPgo and will not be playable on any other PlayStation console.

When will I get my code?

You will receive the the PSN promotion code within 30 days of the end of the Promotional Period. But you are likely to get it within a week.

Does the promotion include the full version of the game?

Yes, it is exactly the same as what you would purchase from PlayStation Store.

How do I redeem the PlayStation Network Promotion Code?

1. Sign in to your PlayStation Network account via your PSPgo system
2. Once signed in, enter PlayStation Store
3. Select [Redeem Codes], which can be found at the top of the screen
4. Enter your 12 character promotion code and select [Continue].
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to redeem the Promotion Code

Note: Promotion Codes are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as displayed.

Will the Promotion Code expire if I don't use it by a certain time?

It will expire if not used by 9 June 2011.

Where can I get more information?

Take a look at the full terms and conditions at http://pspgopromotion.eu.playstation.com/ if you have any further queries.

The offer is not limited to ShopTo.net, of course, it is an incentive from Sony directly & can even be applied to used consoles (as long as they meet the criteria of the offer).

FYI: My "Misc" thread from 6 weeks ago...

Ten free games offer for PSP Go console

I purchased a pre-owned (but unused) console & received the redemption code for the ten titles just over 21 hours after activating the offer (by downloading a special theme from the PlayStation Store).

No, [thought I'd made that clear in post 1 - tired though and brain not functioning properly so I apologies if phrase "Sony Offer until 30th September 2010: Buy a PSPgo, download 10 free PSP games worth over £200." misled anyone in anyway]however the price and the £20 PSN card is limited to ShopTo.net though (to avoid confusion elsewhere and these companies don't throw in the £20 card)
Amazon.co.uk £194.24
Ebuyer.com £179.98
Play £199.99 (black) £189.99 (white)
GAME £224.99
Scan £197.39
SimplyGames.com £209.85

and if you sell it with all the games on it the new owner can not use the games as your personal details are registerd with the sony site and are not transferable so 2nd hand these are worthless, ive sold 10 ish and barely broke even

want a psp then get the 3000 series

I was just highlighting that you need not buy a(nother) console if you already own one & it meets the offer criteria. This deal was listed when it first appeared on the ShopTo.net web site (1 month & 2 days ago; so it is a good reminder to list it again):

PSP Go + £20 PSN Voucher + 10 free games £174.85 @ Shopto.net

If you had managed to buy the £139.99 PSPgo via Argos' eBay auction listing from the previous HotUKDeals.com deal listing, for instance, then you could still take advantage of Sony's offer without spending another penny (& still have change if you wanted to buy a £20 PlayStation Network Card as well):

EXPIRED - PSP GO! Only £139.99 At Argos Clearance Bargains Ebay

The PSP "Essentials" range available on the European PlayStation Store are as cheap, if not cheaper, than any other retailer at present (& have been that way since they were introduced on 4 June 2010):

There is a list of the titles in my "Ten free games offer for PSP Go console" thread.

Dumb? Yes, I agree. I would have stopped buying for re-sale after selling the second console with little profit.

I have mentioned previously (comment #17; Jun 03, 2010 15:34) that if you wished to you may create a new account solely for the PSP Go offer described above, not register any credit card details, download the (ten) free titles, then sit on the console until October & sell it on (hopefully) for a profit if you were so inclined.

The new owner would then be buying the ready-made PlayStation Network account to use from that point forward.
