Fair enough, but in today's world, the smaller the gadget is, the higher the its price would be :)

for 16gb and ten reasonable games???

Assassins Creed : Bloodlines
Grand Theft Auto : Vice City Stories
Gran Turismo
James Cameron’s AVATAR: The Game
LittleBigPlanet
MotorStorm Arctic Edge
Need For Speed SHIFT
Pursuit Force : Extreme Justice
The 2010 FIFA World Cup
WipEout Pure HD

imho this is a fair price (for what you get) but now faces negative public pyschology - people are wary about buying the product..

sony should have launched it at this price all along.. a real screw up by sony...

Yes - still pretty useless gadget when you can't play ALL the games released for the PSP. Only around 55% of the back catalogue is available for the GO

Are you sure it comes with 10 games? - is that an offer from Sony or John Lewis?

the psp go has been a mega loss for sony and never took off a lot of retailer will only take them as sale or return.
PS3, PSP sales down as Sony Q1 losses hit $390 million need i say more !!!!
do some research on the product ,cant see them selling any after xmass this year .
unless there £50 in the sales.

that is still more games than most normal people would buy..

furthermore, you use it as a mp3 player/video player (loads of websites for you to download stuff without conversion).. there is also a very basic web browser with decent skype

and if you have a ps3 you can link it with your psp to remotely access you ps3 for videos, occassional games, mp3, divx, blu-rays, playtv and if you have an ps3 eyetoy you can use if as a remote camera to keep track of things around the house..

point is it isn't useless and if you factor in ten reasonable games that cost an average of a very conservative 8 pounds then you are paying only 60 quid for the item.. in other words 50 pounds price level you suggest seems a bit low..

Probably, but when some really good games are not available for the Go but are for the other PSP's, it makes you wonder.

You mean like the same you can do with the PSP 1000, 2000, and 3000 series?

Sorry you've not convinced me.

New PSP-2 coming out around Xmas.

no confirmation of psp 2 as far as i know. Im happy with my psp 1000 with custom firmware. It was and is an underated console and a neglected platform.

...neglected by publishers/developers who did not gain the revenues they should have done because of people using custom firmware to play illegal digital copies of their titles.

not trying to convince you to buy the thing.. i don't own a psp go and not buying one yet..

just don't think your £50 price is realistic given what you are getting .. if you think about it maybe you will agree with me that £50 is a bit unrealistic..

No, I don t buy that. I bought 15+ umds, and have played like 5 isos. It always has been a neglected platform. It was always ds this and ds that.

I rang up the Peter Jones branch (in Sloane Square) earlier today and according to them it's £199.95, and always has been with no history of special offers on this specific item.

Can the OP please confirm how they came about this so-called offer?!

Cheers.
