Seems like a pretty good price, all the usual outlets are selling the same lens for £299.99 you can also get 3% cashback with topcashback or quidco £242.49

Remember 50mm is a light telephoto on most digital cameras with 1.5 conversion factor. A 35mm lens might be a better standard lens for APS sensor models.

pcworld quidco voucher for -£10 so £231.83 which is an awesome price for this lens. And now back in stock so finally ordered one.

And while the above comment is factually correct and sounds clever I'll let him / her order the 35mm sony lens which only comes with G glass with such a wider apperture for about £1k. Nice.
