absolutely shocking battery AVOID

Not sure why you'd say this unless you've left wifi on (which does hammer the battery). I easily get 2 days out of mine now I've switched off the wifi. It also charges to full charge in under an hour so it's absolutely fine. Not brilliant compared to a traditional watch but far better battery life than most smart watches.

Struggling to find a reason to buy this and struggling to find a reason not to buy this at this price. Dilemma

Wear 2.0 is coming in early 2017 apparently.
#2
Sony have said Android Wear 2.0 is coming, and I believe this is the only NFC enabled AW watch, so I'd imagine it'll be the likely candidate for payment via watch.

nope. this watch is 2 years old now, I don't think Sony makes the metal band anymore, thus the insane prices on eBay for them!

For anybody who has got one, could you please tell me if the strap goes small enough to fit children.
Thanks in advance 8)

I use this as a golf gps and it works pretty well. The in built GPS stops my phone running out of charge on the course which I like.

The NFC is only for pairing with mobiles. It doesnt have the hardware capability to be used for payments.

Edit: Having looked into it more since l purchased mine then the consensus is that it is a full broadcomm chip which can be currently hacked to work instead of just act as a tag. So it looks good for future updates.

The strap clasp slides along, very adjustable, I expect it will be ok for small wrists too.

I would say no if younger than 14/15 unless they are chunky monkeys :)

Get the white strap and enjoy everyone asking if you have an Apple Watch, esp if you put an Apple face on it.

I've got tiny wrists and had no problem - also, the band is only rubber so you can easily put new holes in?

The only negative is charging the bloody thing - the port is underneath the watch and a right old faff to get at.

thanks. just ordered one. heat added

You can purchase an adapter that the 'body' of the watch clips into allowing you to use any strap of your choice. From memory sony do an official one but its not cheap. Third party ones (usually 3d printed) are available in a variety of colours.

That grey rubber gromet just doesn't want to stay out of the way while you're trying to insert the usb connector does it! Or pop out in the first place if you're like me and don't have long fingernail's X)

Cold just as its Currys, good luck if you have it for a few months and it goes wrong, Currys fight and fight a consumer returning goods.

There is a technique. I can now do it with my eyes closed! Practice makes perfect, and would much rather have the standard USB charger than anything else :-)

Great price, use it for running, tracking distance and controlling music. Good luck finding spare straps though!

Does this watch have the usual HR monitor etc ????? that you would expect from Health Monitoring, also is the sleep monitoring accurate ?

No HR monitor. I'm not sold on sleep monitoring. Tried a FitBit some time ago with mixed results.

absolutely shocking battery AVOID

The only thing stopping me is no HR monitor.

Could anyone recommend a smartwatch with a HR monitor, running android wear and has at least a 2 day battery??

Agree, you get used to the technique - plus having an angled micro USB cable helps. Finally, with 2+ days battery life then it's not a disaster if on the morning you find it failed to charge overnight.

Flubit just offered me this for £55.99 delivered... not sure whether to go for it though, as it is 2 years old and I really want the Zenwatch 3!

Read that in reviews too but I've never had a problem.

You can pair with an external one which are much more accurate anyway. Nobody has mentioned you can swim with these too use the swim.com app. Pretty amazing for the price.

Normal use you get two days. Hour long run with gps, music and hrm and I am down to 50%, which isn't bad.

I agree. I have worn mine every day since Aug 2015 and consistently get 2 days out of a charge. Need to keep wifi off and I think I turned off a step counter function once, because it drained power.
