Just received this today - if you can't afford the extortionate rates for a new core holder on the UK, and don't want to wait the week or more to get one from Japan this does the trick!

To clarify - this is a way to get a cheap adapter to put your own watch strap on the smartwatch 3! I am not advocating having the watch core dangling from your bag to be stolen!

Received today and the keychain part is attached by a clip and velcro strap - undo these and you're left with a core holder for your smartwatch 3 and pins attached - ideal to put your own 24mm strap on and for much, much less than buying a similar on eBay.

Happy customizing, SW3 owners!

Right - I don't get it - its a smartwatch, that you sort of .... its not like, so you can have it like I don't know a phone? its also £21 ... which doesn't seem a cheap way to carry your smart watch oddly. Am I missing something? (SW3 owner)

I've got a SW3 and was surprised that the metal strap costs more than the watch, has actually put me off other Sony products as it so blatantly takes the ****.
I had the previous Sony liveview and they used normal watch straps so I don't know why they couldn't have included this feature on the SW3 :(

I think the OP has other ideas for this instead of using it as a key chain.

Exactly as kos1c says above - I don't want the keychain, I want t be able to put a leather strap or a steel strap on the watch. You can buy adapters but they are either 3d printed and fragile, or silly prices or from Japan so subject to import etc. This gets you a genuine adapter the easy way.

Seems like no one else has read the description with the comments being posted.

They're seeing a smart watch being turned into a keyring. oO

Curious how to get one from Japan?

As it says in the description, this is an adaptor so you can use the SW3 with a generic 24mm watch strap.
