Your probably going to get a bit of stick regards this being a repost, but I for one would be interested in any up to date thoughts on this product.
#2
Thanks

I bought this on the previous post 3 weeks ago at £39.99, now noticed they've been dropped another tenner. Really good unit and streams music really well from laptop, mobile etc.

Is it a repost?

This is £10 cheaper than the £39.99 deal at play a few weeks back. Maybe I'm missing something.

Ah I see, the other £39.99 post was edited with the new price.

Fair enough point.

Is this AC power only or can it take batteries?
#10
Don't forget the 5% off RAC voucher.

Just ordered for £28.49.
#11
No batteries guys, this is not the small battery operated speaker, this is purely for home, comes with a AC plug with a adapter in the middle of the cable, like a laptop adapter.

Sounds good to me, I am no audiophile. works fine with my N95 8gb, 5310 xpress music & E71.

Range is very good... my bluetooth headset doesn't have that much range.

Bought it at 39.99 recently, at 29.99 its definetly a steal !

Also, this is a huge speaker compared to ipod docks, its about the size of a old casette boombox. looks cool though, have it in my lounge and wife likes the looks too.

Yep... me too, waiting to see how much Quidco tracks at now ?

Edit... Wow ! 0.15p Quidco

Just got mine today. Hooked it up to the PC quite easily via Bluetooth, (but there is a cable option if you need to go down that route), and it's working very well.

Looks quite cool and is much neater than a sub/speaker setup. The sound is reasonably good too so for £30 I'd thoroughly recommend it.

Thanks OP:thumbsup:

Thanks for the re-post on this, I missed it last time around. Got mine yesterday and I have it hooled up to my PC, Ipod and my Blackberry.

Great Stuff.

i have the sony mp3 player but it isnt bluetooth, wll this work as a docking station for it ( i dont know if docking station is the right words to use?) as in, can it connect to the mp3 player with the sony connection? and would it charge up the mp3 player?
#16
Received mine today  works great with my Touch and Vista Laptop. However My Dell Mini 9 Netbook XP installs ok but the Sony wont pair with it ? ie blue and green lights keep flashing any ideas, please

Brum

It is not a docking station and will not charge your device, however it does have an audio input, so there is a means of connectivity if you obtain the right lead.

Zermatt

Its standard bluetooth and works with all the mobile phones and laptops in my house, perahps a quirk with your Dell or the bluetooth device...check the protocols/bluetooth spec.

Got this connected to my iPod Touch but the volume wont work on the Touch only on the speaker ?

The ipod touch is not A2DP IIRC.

Excellent piece of kit, I was well impressed with the overall build and sound quality.
Highly Recommend!!

Would like some advice though on keeping the computer connected to the actual speakers. The problem I have is everytime I turn my computer off I have to go through the process of pressing the connect button on the box then connecting the computer. Is it possible to leave them both connected permanently so that when I reboot my machine it automatically connects?

Would appreciate the tech advice! Thanks in advance!!
These are that good I am looking at buying a second for another room within the house!..

It is a long shot, but if you have a Tesco's nearby that stocks computer and audio equipment, then there is a slim chance you could find a Gear4 A2DP bluetooth dongle for your iPod for £15. This is apparently 50% off the normal price to clear. They also had the Gear4 Black Box or at least a small portable version of this for the same price. I think the Sony is better though, even at twice the price. Because it is Tesco, I have no way of knowing whether this is a local offer or just running down stock to clear.

Hey guys, would this work with a 2G iPhone via bluetooth?

Thanks!
#23
I bought a pair of Bluetooth Headphones from Play, and use the adaptor from that to play my Ipod through this. Looks good, sound is fine, goood value for money

"Hey guys, would this work with a 2G iPhone via bluetooth?"

Maybe in the future when apple release version 3 of the firmare for iPhones. Until then no. Even if jailbroken. It has the bluetooth chips but not the software stack.

I have a little dongle for my iPhone that does the bluetooth -a2dp.

I wouldn't call this portable if it needs a mains input - still good price voted hot.

its quite big really....

wont pair with my xp but apparently is fine with vista - unless its just my bluetooth...

So has anyone got it to work with Windows XP then?

As no point in me buying it if not!

Also, what bluetooth dongle can anyone recommend for use with my PC?

Cheers,

im sure you could pick one up off the net for cheap....
