Just grabbed 2 pairs of these from our local Tesco. Can't go wrong for this price. Most places seem to be £25 for these, and PC World is £45! Read More

Yes, as long as it has a headphone socket. Got mine on my plasma now.

Cool, ta. Got a Samsung with the hidden speakers, which are fine, but think these could help when playing the PS3 a bit!

Thanks

COD4 on 360 sounds much better than through TV speakers. Nice cheap upgrade without going cinema sound.

How would this connect to a 360?
Is the suggestion to connect them to the tv via headphone socket, not to the 360?

anyone know how the sound quality is?

It's £25 sound quality - poor. For a games noise-maker on a computer, a bargain. For listening to music, forget it.

gonna buy one of these tomorrow. anyone know how the sound quality is?

Its a very relative question. I guarantee you will not find a better sound for £11 but obvioulsy if you spend £50 upwards you will notice an improvement. For me I just wanted something better than in-built speaker of a TV and these more than suffice. Just watched a couple of HD DVD's since posting and the sound from these was amazing for the money. I neither have the room nor the funds for a decent sound system at the moment so these will do the trick on both our plasmas for a few months.

I hope they have them in-stock tommorow at the Stockport Tesco.

£45 at PC world.

So if you can get them to pricematch, it'll be £7.85

#12
got a 19 lcd with only vga hooked up to 360, is there any way to connect directly to the 360?

Yeah, I asume you have the 360 connected with a VGA cable? There will be a pair of RCA cables for sound, just hook them into one of these and then into the speakers.

I got one from Maplins for a couple of quid I think, might be available cheaper online though.

Can anyone get it work with the PCWORLD price match promise?

They look like the same speakers my sister got from Amazon. She sent them back because the sound quality was so bad. Tinny doesn't even begin to describe them.

With speakers you don't always get what you pay for. I got some surprisingly good speakers for £15 (make of Sansun, not to be confused with Samsung) from bigmaggot.co.uk over a year ago, but they don't appear to have the same ones in anymore.

Hi there, i have been a long term watcher of this site and some of the deals i have got have been amazing.

HOWEVER seeing this deal made me finally sign up

i would STRONGLY recommend AGAINST these speakers. They are in a word awful with a pretty shoddy build quality, yes they are cheap but this shows.

I bought them at £20 as a christmas present for my brother and i was appauled to hear how they sounded. I bought a £15 set of logitech speakers that are now 3 years old and they COMPLETELY blow these away. I went for the name rather than the quality of other tried and tested speakers i have bought.

I would recommend spending an extra £10/£15 on logitech or creative labs speakers. :) or if you want to spend the same amount buy ANY other set of speakers at the same price than these.

As bearman3784 has said they truly are awful

Hope this helps

sound is a personal thing, one man's ceiling etc.

I wouldn't bother with the hassle.
#22
Not sure if you guys are on about the same speakers but seriously, linked to my plasma and playing HD DVD's and my 360 they sound great, far from tinny.
#23
Exaclty. I would say...dont waste your money on these. I know its Sony thats why it may sound tempting. Save up and go for something like JBL Or Harmon Kardon even if you want 2.1...then Creative Speakers have better build quality and have volume control for sub and speakers..

Goodluck

I am staying clear of this!

Which Tesco store were these speakers available in? Not in stock in New Oscott. Also had arguement with Manager in PC World as I could not prove the deal!! He said Hot UK Deals was a third party website and it could be a fraudulent post. Couldn't find the speakers on the Tesco website.
