they have been this price for a while on the dixons website. I ordered them a couple of weeks ago and for £15, they seem quite good. however, the sound does distort at high volumes and the sub lacks in bass.

i got them off dixons last week, as for them being distorted at high volumes...what a ridiculous comment, look at the physical size of the speakers, i've had mine loud enough that you can't talk over them, anything more than that and you bought the wrong speakers for the job in the first place!. for what they are they are brilliant speakers and negative comments shouldnt be put against them

very good price, and good sound quality for that price..

i got these off dixons a few weeks back - sound quality is reasonable, for £15 nothing to complain about

At only 25watts output should be much less in price but its Sony your paying for here!! This would distort even at the slightest high volume or bass ....

Have them myself & think they are great little speakers

I have these speakers in red but I really don't like using them... I use them with my laptop, and for some reason there is interference between my laptop and these speakers, it has a loud drowning noise? Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm guessing its my laptop because when I turn my laptop off, the drowning noise goes... quite annoying, but for this price! Not bad at all, they are funky looking!

I had a similar problem using the speaker 3.5 jack on my laptop. Could hear the drive/fan noise through any set of speakers or amp I used. Cheap sound cards I read. Bought an external usb powered soundcard that hooks up via USB and not only have I FAR superior sound but no interference. Well worth it.

I bought these the last time they were down around this price. Personally disappointed, I found the sound quality to be very average. I also found the wiring to the speakers far too short which limits how you can position them.

But they are what they are and they will do a job connected to a laptop. Good price, just don't expect hifi quality sound.

Excellent value for money. Whilst not the clearest and best quality speakers around these are ideal for listening to generic PC audio (Youtube/basic gaming/some music etc.) which is vastly superior to crappy laptop speakers

These have been posted 4-5 in last few weeks on forum. Dixon/currys/ pc world same firm really. Suprised all the posts were kept.

Got tempted for £13.49 and bought one for myself. Full volume makes sound distort. Above all, the 3.5mm audio jack lead is not more than 3 feet in length. Someone like me who just hop seats in the living room really need atleast minimum of 2 meters. In case you wish to play something from your Laptop you will struggle as how to adjust the length.

Mine one are in White and the leads supplied (speakers, power cord & audio lead) are in Black colour. I use to have Cambridge 2.1 in White they were all white in colour.
-ve:
1. Very short audio lead
2. Doed NOT fill the room with music
3. Full volume Bass goes bad and sound distort. You can't hear drum beat it sounds bad druk druk druk.

+ve:

1. Good to connect to your LCD/LED TV if you do not wish to spend more than £15.
2. Good for talk shows

I am looking for refund, if possible.
