Oh, forgot to add, the code works with Quidco too, so that's an extra 3% discount on top.

Also, direct links for colour options:

I did a search before I posted. They'd been posted at the old deal of £14.99, but I couldn't find them advertised at this price anywhere.

Yes, but why would u want to lol?

Because i dont want great big speakers round the room but want a bit more power to TV sound for movies and gaming? Is that silly?

Or would it cut the TV volume and just play through speakers only?

i bought these when they were £14.99. they are ok but dont expect bags of power or bass. I would personally go for a logitech setup but that is only my opinion

And I think some people spend way too much time on the internet.

Cheers for the post OP...some of us - me included - hadn't seen this before. HOT

I was just pointing out they're still the same price, but now there's a voucher too. That's the whole point of the Voucher section, to stop people posting every little thing from a retailer at a cheaper price (remember those Very "deals").

That being said, I might finally grab a set X)

I wouldn't expect much power from them but they are cute and cheap. Hot.

Yes, these will cut the sound from the TV. Plus, the TV speakers are likely to be better/louder than these anyway.
Don't buy these, if that was your intention :3
#17
Not too sure that is accurate for all TV's my LG 32LXR2 has rubbish 10w speakers so these will be ideal for movies etc. Also with a 2x RCA to 3.5mm jack cable you could use both the tv speakers and these.

I bought these @ £14.99 before and I'm very happy with them.

"Spec: Dual inputs for use with PC & portable music devices" is very miss-leading, only 1 input jack on these.
#19
Thanks may get some for my 7yr olds bedroom cinema projector as the onboard speaker is somewhat lacking!
...if you'd got a jbl creature deal up i'd be first in the queue, those work great with portable projectors.

They are nice for the money, I got them last time, and use them on my desktop pc. Like said don't expect lots of power. And don't buy them if you like listening to you music really loud. For normal everyday laptop/desktop use these are fine.

A wierd thing is, sometimes, when not even plugged into mains, only plugged in through 3.5mm jack, if you're in a dead quiet room you can hear a German radiostation coming through the speakers very very faintly.

You couldn't be any more wrong.

This little set will be louder and have better range than most LCD/Plasma TV's around.
TV speakers nowdays are famously crap. Most are 2x10w, and have no sub so all you get is annoying tinny sound, and no bass at all (and any audio with heavy bas will make TV speakers sound even worse).

Yes, there are a small number of TV's with 'OK' speakers, but it's a very, very small number.

Does anyone think these will be ideal to plug my sony walkman in to. There is only a small number of docks out there for the sony mp3

e.g Sony SRSNWGU50.CEK Which is £71.99 on amazon and 1-3 month dispatch. i have a little space which a small 2.1 would fit. As my tv's main use is a pc monitor followered by xbox + ps3.
I can't use my tv speakers or my samsung 5.1 dvd/reciever while i am playing a console game i can only use them on the source on screen.SO i am look for another solution which will allow me to be on a console while also listening to music and also allow me to just have one thing on while listening. instead of having tv/dvd/pc on. So i fi were to fall asleep i wouldn't be wasting electric.

Just wondered what anyone thinks will suit me i do like my music bassy and loud but as i have the 5.1 set up it doesn't matter as much on the 2.1

thanks

these speakers are not ideal for bassy music or for listening to music loud. the satellite speakers can not really cope with volumes past half way (on the dial) and the subwoofer lacks in bass - bass on the subwoofer is not adjustable. if you like listening to music quietly then this 2.1 is for you, but if you ever want to crank the volume up, you will be disappointed. I bought a pair and sold them within a couple of weeks. Logitech setups such as this one http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/logitech-ls21-2-1-speaker-system-03990847-pdt.html are much better as it has a separate volume controller and adjustable bass

So, you tell him this 25w set isn't powerful enough, then link him to a 7w set?
I could understand someone suggesting the Logitech X-2xx range, but not those little things.

i have experienced both sets of speakers and personally found the logitechs to be a lot better. but that is my opinion :) i admit the sony's look better but the logitechs are better overall.
#26
For a cheap set of computer speakers they are probably better than any others at this price. If you want something decent for music or TV spend more. They would be OK-ish but you would probably not be over impressed.

Hi, thaks for the replys the sub on the logitech isn't what i am looking for.(Not as sleek at the sony)

I still think these are louder and better than many ipod docking stations though. Cheaper ones sub £100 As i know the sony G10/G50(walkman one) Are 20w total which is well above amny others under £100 (Sister has G10 for her ipod which is why i wanted the G50 for my walkman)

I like the look just can't decide white or black. As i mentioned if i am listening to music loud i will use my 850w 5.1 dvd/reciever but this is for a little background when not selected on tv or pc. So when i am on the xbox or ps3 i can choose to listen to some music as well. Also if i wanted to listen to music or the radio though my walkman i could with these. Which would mean i wouldn't need the tv on with pc or a console to listen to music .....

So just white or black as i think for £13.50 they are worth a shot as i can always give them away if i hate them :p

Mmmmm forgot that the sony walkmens suck at out putting music (really quiet) Don't know if anyone has used a sony walkman with these ? or nos how to remove the cap placed on them. Thanks

I bought these a while ago at 14.99, and I think they are brilliant. They wont blast the roof off, but certainly loud enough to upset the wife.

I've had these speakers for about a year and its got very good sound for what it is......The only issue is the speakers arent shielded so therefore when your phone is nearby it makes that interfering sound but for the price they are amazing

It mentions in the description and manual that they are magnetically shielded? :|

Either way, ordered them Thursday evening, hope they're good. Thanks OP.
