Sony Tablet P 4GB 3G - £199.97 @ Dixons

arfawnarfawn

This is the cheapest this tablet has been. Its 3G and has been updated to ICS

The stunning Sony P Series SGPT212GB/S.CEK 3G Tablet PC has a compact clamshell design and a lightweight build that is perfect for use on the go!

Picture perfect

Be amazed by dual LED backlit HD displays that provide an impressive image quality whatever you're viewing. The Sony P Series' TruBlackTM display benefits from a controlled refraction of light between the LCD and the screen. This delivers an enhanced vibrancy of colour and astounding image clarity that sets it apart from other Tablet PCs.

Throw it over

Use built-in DLNA media apps and your home network to "throw" your multimedia onto your TV, Home cinema system or even onto your laptop! Impress your friends and family with the tablet's impressive image capabilities while sharing all your fondest memories. Store files on the tablet's 4GB memory or expand its storage potential via an in-built micro SD card slot, (Please note capacity is based on 1GB = 1 billion bytes. A portion of the memory is used for data management functions and therefore storage capacity will be less).

Get it connected

The tablet benefits from 3G WiFi and Sony's latest software technology which provides lightning-speed web browsing, a highly responsive touch panel and a comprehensive user interface. Pre-installed Android apps heighten the tablet's versatility while allowing you to choose from thousands more applications and games on the AndroidTM Market.

Enhancing the Sony P Series' download capabilities, Video Unlimited lets you rent or purchase new movies and popular TV shows from a huge database! Music Unlimited enables you to listen to over 7 million songs, giving you the ability to make playlists and discover recommended tracks based on your personal tastes.

Play hard

Adding to its entertainment potential, this table is the first PlayStation® Certified tablet, delivering out-of-the-box gaming! Play favourites such as Crash Bandicoot, Pinball Heroes and download original PlayStation® titles online. You can use one of the touchscreens as a controller or plug in a PlayStation 3 SIXAXIS controller.

Built for multi-tasking and maximum enjoyment, the Sony P Series SGPT212GB/S.CEK 3G Tablet PC seamlessly carries out whatever function you desire - the possibilities are limitless!

Wouldn't even pay 100 for it.

Horrible design, massive line in the middle preventing smooth swiping.

But when I have folded an ipad in half it doesn't swipe at all! X)

It looks very good for £200, seems to have most of the wants: GPS, Cameras, SD card slot.. The only thing I'm curious about is how well the split screens work, as it leaves a black line between the two screens.

Can play old PS1 games on it as well. :D Bonus..

Just my 2c but I got mine a couple of months after release from CEX for £250.
The screen was good but the divide in the middle started to get on my nerves.
There weren't enough apps making the most of the split screen.
The 3G was good but the wifi signal was pretty weak compared to other tablets (touchpad & iPad).
The best thing about it was the fact you had a near 10" screen that folded in half and would fit in your jacket pocket.
The worst thing about it was the short battery life and long recharge time. It would last around 3 hours yet charge in 5+.

I ended up selling mine as it spent more time on charge than getting use.

    Hot price compared to RRP.

If only they had called it the Sony DS and done somekind of deal with Nintendo, reckon it could of been a big hit.

Definitely a case where two screens aren't better than one.

Great price but device is flawed with the big bezel separating the screens. Most users complain that the bezel affects scrolling and gestures massively and combined screen ratio doesnt work for a lot of apps & videos.

Even though it is such a good price compared to what it was originally, I think I'd rather get a Nexus 7 or Samsung Galaxy.
