Yes, it's a shame the cards are nowhere near as cheap as the SDHC yet . But still, I paid more for my Mini DV camcorder (Sony DCR-HC96) in 2007.

Am I feeling bad or what. I got this a little over 3 weeks ago. I thought I got it cheap by getting it 110% pricematched at pcworld (last day before amazon was taken off) and got it for £416.

Big :(

I have one of these in my PSP right now, you'd need to use a MicroSDHC but still...

Weird, I posted this over a month ago and it has now gone hot, it must be the last minute Christmas rush!
I have edited the price as it has gone up by a couple of quid since I posted it.....

I have this camera and I think it's amazing. It's small enough to fit in a jacket pocket and takes amazing footage. Sure the media card is expensive but with the camera being £350-ish, then who cares? I got a 16gb card for £80 and it'll probably last me for life!

just be aware editing these files on a pc, needs a real beast of a machine !!!!! fine if your just watching it on tv or from disk.

Does anyone have details of the cashback offer ??

i posted this 2 weeks ago for £348.49 from jacobs, with an optional saving of quidco bringing it down to £334 only got mildly warm. however that deal has expired and this is now the next best thing. voted hot.

Good deal it seams but a pity it just cant be the price of £356.97 rather than the added hassle of sending a cashback form off

I haven't tried this, but doesn't it work out cheaper at Jessops with the "10% off digital compacts and camcorders" voucher (VCUK - expires tomorrow...)?

Their price is 440.41, so 393.37 after the 10%-off voucher, and 333.37 after the £60 cashback. Jessops also have 3% Quidco, giving another 11.80 off (based on the price you pay Jessops) to end up with a total of £321.57 (ish!).

My maths might be a little out, since some of the vouchers may be based on the ex-vat prices, but it should stlll work out cheaper than the Amazon deal. Note that there's no home delivery service on this one, but it's showing as available for store pickup.

Voted cold, cheaper at Jessops and can collect from store
