I do not uderstand why its still £1 shop !!! Surely it should now be 97 1/2p shop ? after reduction in VAT :whistling:
#3
you get what you pay for with these, only good for remote controls IMHO. They don't even last 7 months in a clock!
#4
they been in my local 99p and £ store for yaer or so

Not if they up their prices to soak up the difference.

They're probably don't want to start a price war with 99p Stores. :)

I use(d) these for my xbox controllers and for my wireless mouse - barely last a week. I'd say you'd be better off paying £5 for some rechargeables.
I'm not being snobby or anything here, i'm just saying if you need the batteries for something that drains power quite a bit, like xbox controllers, computer mice, cameras etc; then probably go for rechargeables!

It should be the 98p shop actually! The 2.5% decrease actually only decreases prices by 2.12p per pound....I happen to think 97.88p-land sounds much better than poundland! ;)

Get a decent charger (one with a microprocessor) and some rechargeables. Will pay for itself in a year or two.

Are these the real Mccoy, genuine Sony batteries or cheap fakes imported from the far east, Thailand, vietnam & indonesia?
#11
I guess these are pretty much the same as the "powercell" batteries you get in packs of 20 for a pound, but they license the sony name as people would assume sony = good batteries.

Because like a lot of places, they decided to increase prices. Poundland probably being the most justified in doing so!
#13
I've seen 12 packs of AA Sony Ultra at some pound/99p stores.... pays to keep an eye out!
#14
Thats how much they have always been in poundland and just because there Sony doesnt mean they are good because they are rubbish.
#15
got some duracell ones from a local pound shop but wasnt poundland
#16
Get the Kodak Alkaline ones. These batteries long laster and don't burst. I know you get fewer batteries in a pack but at least it doesn't ruin your controllers!
#17
dont trust sony and poundland just dont go together
