The VAIO NS is full of style and features a slim profile for good looks and portability. With smooth rounded corners and edges, the VAIO NS sports a relaxed and natural form that looks good by your side. Gentle curves also keep exterior dimensions to a minimum and ensures the laptop is really easy to slip into a bag or carrying case. A defining characteristic of the VAIO NS is a warm and natural surface texture that's so different from the cold smoothness of most laptops. Designed to complement natural elements in the home, this texture is also very comfortable to hold as your fingers are in touch with individual points rather than a flat surface.

Good price.. good spec... thanks Cat :)

I used to have a sony vaio laptop. First the cd/dvd drive died and wouldnt read or write anything. Then the whole hard drive died. I paid over £900 for the laptop a couple years back. Put me off Sony Vaios for life tbh. I've learnt never to pay over the odds for a below par machine.

A great deal and hot but from experience very expensive to repair when out of the 12 month warranty

Pathetic Specs
#5
the specs are very good for the laptop actualy if only it had a dedicated graphics card and then u would have a stylish and good spec laptop for under £500
#6
That is about the going rate for that spec, so essentially you are upgrading to a Sony Vaio for free. Despite individual bad experiences, Vaios are pretty well respected machines and they do tend to be better styled than most. Any laptop tends to be beyond economical repair after 12 months so all you can do is either insure them or accept that you may have to either break for parts or sell as broken on Ebay any time from 12 months on.

I used to have a Sony laptop too, before I bought a MacBook Pro.
Never had a problem whatsoever with the Vaio in 2 years of heavy use before I sold it on.

I've learnt that you get what you pay for.

Actually for £459 the specs are very poor. CPU is dual core only and not core 2, on board graphics make it useless for gaming, no Blu Ray, many laptops are now coming with Blu ray around the £400 mark.

Cold from me.

yeh get a dell studio 1555, comes with dedicated gfx for about £400 similar specs

Best deal around - but if you prefer this in silver or even Pink:? - Only £10 more at Sainsburys Direct with free delivery. -

Wot he said. Cold from me, I'm afraid. You're only paying for a (very expensive) brtand name.

Mate, theres loads of deals around for bluray laptops around the £400. I can't be arsed searching for you but a recent deal is this http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/474876/fujitsu-laptop-pa3553-15-4-blu-ray-/

This is really cold, the spec is rubbish for the price. You're paying for the brand.

Any idea how much Sony charge for Windows 7 media? You can register ON THIS SITE but still no mention of handling & shipping price.

I bought an ASUS laptop TWO YEARS AGO that had better specs than this - and was 100 quid less. Voted freezing. Brrrrr!
