  I went right through the order process for both the black and the white models and I was advised a 10/11 weeks delivery time so geezer0769 it might be worth checking your order seeing as you want it for xmas for your daughter.
  
  If I have got it wrong please let me know and point me in the right direction as I wanted one for a xmas present as well.

  It doesn't tell me the lead time when I log in....but it mentioned 4 to 5 weeks when I went through the process yesterday. I have a message now saying it is going through the production process! I really hope I get it for Xmas...took my daughter to Curry's to look at the 17" they had on display and she loved it. It was £799 - only differences were i5 Processor, 6GB RAM and 640GB HD - same Blue Ray player. I am hoping with Quidco this comes in at under £400!

  Good luck hope and you get it for xmas as it really is a good deal and same with me as I was going through the order process it was quoting 4/5 weeks but right at the end before clicking place order thats when it said 10/11 weeks, shame really as everything seemed right about this one except delivery for xmas. ,

  once gonna get one but the 10-11 week delivery time is no good for xmas,to the op i would try and phone or something as it does say 4-5 weeks to start with than changes to 10-11 weeks at checkout
