Sony Vaio (2nd Gen Intel I3 , 4gb RAM , 640gb HDD) £449.99 @ PC World

zordanerzordaner

Hey guys ,

popped into PC world yesterday and found this sony vaio for what I think is quite a good price. It was there in black and white but they also have pink and blue available to reserve online. Tempted to buy one of these myself. They also have an I5 version available for reserve in store for £499.99 if you would prefer to upgrade a bit.

I've added the price & retailer to your deals title because it helps people browsing the site in text mode to see your deal better, thanks :)

Yeah sure the workers earning 30p an hour totally agree!

Edit: they did a good job on my smartwatch though, suppose the threat of a bayonet between the shoulder blades as the quality control works.

    Heat added!

Can configure better spec for less money with sony directly, although i3 is out of stock at the moment so not completely fair - i3, 1gb ded graphics, 6gb mem Comes to £428.99 or what is in stock, same as just mentioned but i5 processor for £499.

I don’t think Sony, Apple etc set the wage rates in developing countries so if 30p is the national average what is your point exactly? Personally I’m more concerned about the working conditions provided the wages are pro rata. I’ve spent a of lot time in various Asian countries with low average wages and I didn’t come away thinking that these people deserve our pity. When I came back from Indonesia over ten years ago I felt sad for how empty people looked in London in comparison to Bali rather than the other way around. Quality of life can’t be defined by looking at hourly wage rates, that’s totally naïve.

I think it has something to do with all the bombing and religious fundamentalism.

Hmm pretty sure that those workers want those jobs that sony are giving them. I mean, it is voluntary, it's not slave labour. Truth is, it's cheaper to live in those countries than it is in the UK, if the jobs sony was providing didn't provide enough money to live on, the workers would be dieing, as far as I know this is not the case. Also consider that if the government imposed a higher minimum wage then that country would be less attractive for companies to build their factories in. Do u think that the people of that country would be better or worse off? considering that they would have taken those jobs voluntary?

I recommend going on the Sony education store if you have a friend or family member that is at university. You get a 17% discount. Managed to get my parents an i5 Vaio with Blu Ray player and GeForce 410M for £450.
