Matte white... that kind of looks like another computer I've seen people pay a lot for before.

Get Dixons to price match against Amazon:
http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/pricematchpromise-469-theme.html

Amazon price £489.98
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-notebook-i3-330M-2-13GHz-Premium/dp/B00366U5NM

Then use the 5% code and cashback

how come u can use the 5% discount code if they price match with Amazon, as the min spend is £499 for that code. Also, how will u get 3% quidco if you mail them and price match?

Sorry, didn't realise the code only worked for the £499 price mark.

I did this with the spring 5% code that's expired. Basically, email them via their price match link. And they will email you back when they've check and lowered the price to match for 24hours. Then log into Quidco or topcashback, go to Dixons and search for the laptop (which should be reduced in price) .... add a working code (if any)

*edit* still a good deal though....heat added

I think it is worth making your own on the Sony site. I made a i3, 320GB, 4GB ram for £509

The Intel graphic ruined the whole Laptop.

Why? Would football manager run fast with that graphics card? Would I be able to download HD videos from my HD Camcorder and watch them in their full quality?

HD video - yes

Games - FM should work - even the 3D bits - but it's worth noting that the developers DO NOT support laptops, so if it doesn't work, don't expect any help...

This allied with the fact that Intel offer paltry support for their GPUs is a bad thing - it makes this a rather fancy Facebook kiosk :)

I'd second that, also worth giving them a call to try and get a discount. I got mine with an i5 processor, 4GB RAM and 320GB for £529.

Voted hot though as this will be dispatched much quicker than mine! :(

I thought of ordering in sonystyle site as customised similar spec model was £479, but this is still around £20 cheaper and you get it within 3 days!!

Yeah, the delivery time is a bit of a bummer but not really in a hurry, just have to be patient!

I have a pink Vaio. I love it but the battery doesn't last long, it looks the business though x
#13
£150 more would get you the CW2 with the GT330 Graphics??! Good deal though, loving Vaios at the moment.

Have to agree. Thanks for posting though!

Good deal, great laptop. Had mine for about a month - I got it using Dixons and the 5% off. They still haven't paid the Quidco though. They might not on a discount code.
#16
Great laptop, got mine last week from Agros (£529 but available instore).

Battery seems to last about 3 hours, but other than that it's top notch :)

Edit - oh, and it doesn't have built in bluetooth, which was pretty disappointing. Nothing a £1 dongle doesn't sort though.

I am sure I read the screen on these is very poor?

I was having a play with a Vaio E-Series machine today. Nice bit of kit, certainly looks and feels better than anything else at that price!

It's spot on for me

LCD not LED though...

just bought it using voucher. hope its a good one!

I bought two items from Dixons and none of them were tracked in Topcashback although I have never had any trouble tracking anything.

I emailed and complained and only the cheaper printer has now appeared as earnings. I WILL NOT buy anything from Dixons as my £149 Sony sound system has not appeared in earnings and I am very annoyed!:x
#22
And THE worst customer service you will ever experience should it go wrong!
#23
I got mine today and it looks lot more expensive than the actual price. Great design and the keyboard is really good. very happy with purchase. :-)
#24
Quidco tracked as £16, but it should be £475 * 3/100 = £14.25!!

Hey, just wondering what you said in order to negotiate the deal. I mean, can we just call up and say we want this, that and that, and we aren't willing to go over £500, for example?

Also, you said in another thread, you'd got it for £500, but with 4 GB RAM - so did you then upgrade?

Thanks for the heads-up, anyway.

Ps, what would be the exact model number you odered.

Didn't work with when I just ordered a Sony Laptop. He offered me buy and accessory, get one free. I rejected that and he then offered me 'express delivery' worth £50 which I am unsure if that is true or not. I asked for standard delivery and a better graphics card which was too worth £50 and he told me they are unable to alter prices of components.

Just wondeing what the 'Standard Delivery' is, and what the 'Express Delivery' is. I see it says Shipping within 2 days (Express, I think)...but then under 'Availability' it says upto 4-5 weeks. Perhaps there's a technical difference I'm missing between Shipping and Availability, other than the natural (short) delay.

Ordered this deal last tuesday, got it today (monday) and I so far love the laptop, looks stylist, runs smoothly. Must say only the keyboard area is matt white, the rest is silver but still looks really stylist!
Got the discount and quidco is being processed, my only problem with the deal was that dixons first sent an 'acknowledgement' email which told me I would soon recieve a confirmation email which did not come for two days, I was quite eager to get the laptop as I have a lot of work to be doing at home so I rang to see if there was a hold up, the then began to give me an over the top security check. Aparently it was this security check that was needed before my laptop could be confirmed, when they were actually going to contact me for this check and how long I would have been waiting had I not called. So instead of getting this laptop latest friday, I had to wait another 3 days.

Other than that though amazing deal, love the Vaio laptops!

I was originally going to go for the model mentioned but with 3GB or RAM but decided to pay an extra £29 for the extra Gig of RAM.

Just rang up, told them I had seen a Samsung laptop for around the same specs but a little cheaper and they knocked a little off. Not a lot but it made a difference.
